What advice do you have for a guy who is 42,and has never had sex, because he is waiting to give himself completely to his future wife, when he finds her,and can go several months wihout doing anything sexual, with a random girl or pleasuring himself
after going through 5 or 6 months without doing anything like that,he will start getting the urges to do something, and he really wants to stop doing this altogether,he has tried lots of stuff, like watching a religious movie or praying, but the urge usually gets to be to much for him
men or ladies,if you have any advice, pls help?
Im not Catholic, at least not yet but if it were up to me, knowing that i have the freedom that you have as an adult. I.E. you have full responsibilty over your actions, whereas, I still need permission from my mom and other adults being 18 and all. I would look at the lives of some of the saints. I mean most people turn to like Saint Augustine for remedies of some of the more sexual urges. The saints, from what I read, worked away their urges. I mean manual labor but what you seem to be doing is passive. I.E. watching tv. Your allowing your mind to passively wonder and roam free while watching something as passive as visual media. Find something that requires your energy, idk how this time period is like about volunteering ones services but maybe you could find out. Try staring at crucifixes. Maybe delve deeper into what, you and the Church know, Gods love means and focus on that. Dont take your mind off heavenly things. See your self as pitiful and vile and worthless. IDK. Think about offending God. Work, work, work and busy yourself. But make sure the business is directed at Jesus or Mary or a saint or whomever. When you pray be mindful of whom you are praying to. Know that this is God. I mean like really think about who you are talking to. oh and i would stop worrying about getting marrried. And focus on your other marriage that you have to maintain. You might never get married. Remember “seek ye first the kingdom of God and other things shall be added unto you.”
Oh and when you say 5 or 6 months before he starts doing something does that mean he does do it in the end.
PS I said “You” and “Your” the entire time. I AM SO SORRY!!! Please forgive, sometimes I just glance at what im reading and do not really take it in.
