I was sure there was a statement of the U.S. Bishops that pro-abortion Catholic politicians risked excommunication. For some reason, I just can’t track it down. Can anyone point it out, please?
A few bishops have said that pro-choice politicians shouldn’t take communion, even fewer have stated that they would deny communion to specific politicians, but no one has been publicly threatened with excommunication AFAIK.

To my knowledge, such a document does not exist. However, the Bishop of Kansas City Kansas, Archbishop Nauman has place the then Governor of Kansas and current HHS Secretary Kathlenn Sebilius under interdiction (asking she not present herself for Holy Communion) for her lifetime support of abortion rights.
