Need Bible Help

An elderly friend of mine recently asked for a Catholic bible for Christmas. Here are his requirements:
  1. He needs large type. The largest possible. He has poor vision.
  2. He wants a Catholic bible (with all the books).
  3. He does not want “inclusive” language if possible (she for God/Jesus/etc…).
  4. He would like a bible that is easy to read in English. For example, he would not consider King James/Douay Rheims easy to read because the language is not commonly used.
I’m really overwhelmed looking for a bible that meets these 4 criteria. There are so many different translations and options/available. Can someone help with a few suggestions?

I bought a 1970 NAB Bible in giant print on e-bay for about $30.00 (like new). The original NAB does not have inclusive language and the print is very easy to read. 👍
 
Consider Kindle: The Amazon Kindle as a Low Vision Device for the Visually Impaired

The New American Bible is the same translation used at Mass, so it shouldn’t be a problem. The more expensive of the two Bibles linked says it has 14 to 16 type, so you can see if the recipient has any problems with this prior to purchase. Also, peruse Amazon for customer reviews on large print Bibles (and everything else!) to see others views and possible problems. I don’t know how I made a purchase before this feature.

There are a number of online versions of various translations of the bible. An iPad or even a smartphone with a large enough screen would allow your friend to adjust the size of the text, which would let your friend read the translation of his choice at a comfortable font size.

I would make this recommendation also if the RSV-2CE were available as a large print edition. Ignatius included a ‘larger’ print size in the ‘Ignatius Catholic Study Bible - New Testament’ but as described this is the NT only. The only other option for a large print full RSV-2CE is in E form for the Kindle and other E-readers. I emailed Ignatius a while ago about their future plans for a large print RSV-2CE and I was told it would probably be a couple of years.🤷
