Need Catholic Chronological Reading Plan

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I’m trying to find a Chronological reading plan for my new Ingatius Bible but I can’t seem to find any online that are both (1) Catholic (i.e. the WHOLE Bible) as well as (2) complete. I found one on this forum from Scott Hahn, but it was only a selection of the Bible. I need one with everything perfectly in order including the Psalms. For example, I found this context for the Psalms: users.cwnet.com/dalede/Psalms.htm

And this looks pretty accurate: rosemck1.tripod.com/bible.html

And yet they both seem rather unprofessional and don’t have all the books either.

Any help?

Ahh me too! My Ignatius bible came today. I’m afraid I’m not of any help to you, though I am searching for the same information.

Thank you but I’m looking for one that is chronological, according to the date of the event, not the writing of the books.

I am quite familiar with Biblical chronology and I really doubt that a Catholic Chronological Bible or reading plan exists. I have a Protestant chronological Bible, but it has some problems. What does one do when two different books are discussing the same period of time e.g. 1 Chronicles overlaps many books from Genesis to Kings or the information in the four gospels. Also what do you do with prophetic passages like Daniel 11 that are covering many centuries and overlap many different books. Placing some of the prophetic books can be a challenge and there is overlap between Ezra and Nehemiah and Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi. Also, some books like Wisdom, Psalms and Sirach regularly referring back to earlier events.
I did do my best to make a chronological Gospel (using the Douay, because RSV-CE refused me permission to post it on the web after I had completed it). See

Now various parts of the Bible can be placed into chronological context and read that way for instance Genesis through 2 Kings are generally in chronological order and the only books that modify that would be Job inserted about between Genesis 11 and 12. Moses wrote Psalm 90 so somewhere probably in Numbers. Once you hit David in 1 Samuel 16 or so you will have a great challenge to place his 70 or so Psalms. Also, there are many references back to the Exodus from all over the Old and New Testament. It would be a major job to create this work, it would be prone to error, and it probably does not exist.
