Need Conservative News Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good online source for up-to-date conservative national and international news? I’ve been viewing Fox News and the Drudge Report for a long time, but Fox has been going downhill rapidly for the past year or more as far as morale values in their articles and features are concerned (many are already in the gutter), and Drudge isn’t real comprehensive sometimes in their coverage of everything that’s happening around the world. Recommendations, anyone?

I find good links on New Advent as well (www.newadvent.org). I try to get most of my news from the AP actually but also tend to check CNN and the BBC (BBC being more left but not as bad as MSNBC).

After doing this for some time I have found CNN to be the most non biased news. Fox tends to leave stuff out or “spin” it as does MSNBC.

Personally I don’t want “conservative” or “liberal” news, I just want factual news. 🙂

My husband and I were just talking about how there doesn’t seem to be an intellectual and comprehensive conservative news source in this country. Although, I do like the Wash Times.
 
Thanks so much to everyone for the great suggestions. I’ve been to a few already, and they seem so much better than Fox News with all the sexually suggestive stories and features they have lately. I used to think I could depend on Fox, but not so. Great to know there are good alternatives since I’m a news junkie, too!
 
Like you, I am disappointed with the focus on trashy tabloid news found on Fox, although some of their programs are still good. I think the Wall Street Journal is the only “mainstream” news I read regularly. There is still some bias there, but I think they do a better job than, say, the New York Times or San Francisco Chronicle of making sure all viewpoints are represented.
 
Some news sites recommended here are what some conservatives call Obamanews sources. However, otherwise the recommendations here worth considering for someone who wants conservative news coverage. I don’t have anything particular to add except for a Catholic weekly newspaper, the “National Catholic Register,” This newspaper is good for an orthodox slant on not only Catholic news but also secular news, and it is very well produced. I have subscribed to it for 30 years. If yoiu want, you can subscribe by googling to “National Catholic Register.”
Please don’t consider this an advertisement, but simply my honest opinion.
 
I got rid on my TV 20 years ago. But when I was in New York City two weeks ago, there seemed to be a Fox news channel on the television in my room. Am I wrong about such a channel? If there is one, you could always get this and it wouldn’t have the regular Fox programming that you don’t like.

The OP has been watching Fox News and is looking for something else. Again I would say, look for truthful reporting not reporting that is slanted to one particular view or the other, you are just doing yourself a disservice if you do because you are letting yourself be manipulated by the media.

I know liberals that only watch MSNBC and conservatives can beat them in a debate hands down and I know Conservative that believe all types of crazy stuff because they only watch Fox News. Shoot, even Fox News has been saying recently that their own views are sending emails that angry and full of misinformation… that got that information from them though… very sad. Needless to say, when presented with facts these people fail as well or like the liberals just get angry or deny the truth.

Look for multiple sources and after a while you will easily be able to catch the spin from either side and do a better job of finding the truth.

Of course, the opening poster was looking for recommendations for conservative news sources. This is not to say you are right or wrong, but that you are speaking about something else… Personally, I would simply like to hear more recommendations of convervative news sources.
