I accidentally left my Fr. Lasance missal in the church basement while out of town and so far it has not turned up :sad_bye: .They church secretary has been quite nice and a note was put in last week’s bulletin, but I may have to replace my missal :sad_yes:.
I would get a Lasance again at the drop of a hat even though it is not the 1962 version if it was available, simply due to the notes and information as well as the fact that the Latin and English are of equal size and my eyesight, not so good even with my progressives.
I have read the threads from a few years ago about this topic and have looked at a certain brick by brick site about the same. I have seen both missals (though not recently) and am not certain I will be able to find them in order to look at them side by side.
So, can you give me (name removed by moderator)ut especially if you have both in the recent versions and/or saw both and decided for one over the other. I am not a newbie in the TLM (I am blessed to be able to attend every Sunday and days of obligation with the occasional daily mass). No doctrinal polemics or (name removed by moderator)ut please just your opinion of the merits of each. :harp:
From what I can gather, the Angelus in leather, does have the benefit of having almost all of the sacraments and the Latin type, though still smaller than the English) is either a larger type or is easier to read and not as squashed. The comments on the Baronius seem to indicate it is smaller and a bit easier to handle with one hand (key when attending mass with a wee one).
I appreciate any comments.
