need direction

i have been strong in my faith but have lost the drive to show it. started my not saying my rosary. then slowly not going to church at all. i love god and still believe in him. i want what i had to come back but do not know what to do.

Maybe displaying signs of piety was not a worthy reason to pray.

I recall when the Lord removed my will to pray after I had entangled myself with more devotions than I could handle and would rush to pick the time card, so to say, everyday. I could not pray anymore and had to drag myself to Mass every Sunday.

I took months to come back to a prayer routine, albeit simpler and shorter, but only after I started praying for God’s sake, not mine, to mean the words to Him rather than trying to figure out their meaning to me.
