Please pray for me, I am nearly in tears trying to figure out a temporary care situation for my 2yo while my primary caregiver has surgery in January. I need someone to look after my little one for SIX WEEKS!!! My top 2 picks have already said they don’t have room - these are the only 2 people I know personally and live close to my home. Please pray for me to find someone good who I’m comfortable with. Please pray for the other families who use my sitter to find good placement for their children. This may actually be a good caveat into a new permanent situation for my child b/c my current caregiver just takes off way too much and constantly puts us in a bind. My FIL normally fills in for us in a pinch, but six weeks is probably too much of a commitment. If he could even take a week here and there, it would be great. My former caregiver doesn’t like to watch little ones without other big kids around to help and my child would be all by himself there, but I’m comfortable with her. Not sure if she would be open to it.

May God’s will be done. My utmost prayer is for DH to find a job that pays well enough for me to quit and SAHM full time.

Thank you for your prayers.

Praying you find a good child care situation and that your husband can find a position that allows you to be a SAHM.

Mary.

Prayer to St. Martin de Porres

To you Saint Martin de Porres we prayerfully lift up our hearts filled with serene confidence and devotion. Mindful of your unbounded and helpful charity to all levels of society and also of your meekness and humility of heart, we offer our petitions to you.

Pour out upon our families the precious gifts of your solicitous and generous intercession; show to the people of every race and every color the paths of unity and of justice; implore from our Father in heaven the coming of his kingdom, so that through mutual benevolence in God men may increase the fruits of grace and merit the rewards of eternal life. Amen.

St. Martin, pray for us!

Lord, please touch this situation for suitable work for this family, that JLCecilia find suitable care for her son, and that peace and love prevail. Lift the weight on her heart and send angels to comfort her and lead her toward a situation that will embolden this family and that they be nestled in the bosom of Our Lady in Love. Permeate the darkness and difficulty of this situation with your heavenly light. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Lord, remembering that Saint Zelie Martin (canonized this year) had to put her youngest into part-time care because she had breast cancer and modern treatments were not yet available. She also had to choose someone suitable, and I’m certain you guided her because her baby grew up to become Saint Therese of Lisieux…remembering that, Lord, please guide JLCecilia to the best option in child care.

Thanking You in hope

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon JLCecilia in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Thank you for the beautiful prayers. Please continue to storm heaven for me. I know we have 2 months till this all takes place, but I am a very anxious person. I have called 7 in-home providers and all of them are full, not even room for our temporary situation. Lord, you have always come through for us before and I’m confident you will do so again.

Look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, so that in times of difficulty we might not despair nor become despondent. Lord, you know that every time the subject of child care comes up, I fall into deep despair and lament over not getting to SAH with my baby. DH gets angry with my sorrow b/c he feels helpless to do anything about it. Please, let me carry my cross with grace and practice discretion for his sake. Please move him to comfort me and not be angry.

I trust in you Jesus to work this out b/c I know you love me and my family. I am still full of sorrow and anxiety, but don’t let me stop lifting my eyes and heart to you.

I had a daycare center call and offer their only opening for my child’s age. I TT DH and he is ready to make a permanent transition for our child. I TT the director and asked her hold the position till we can schedule a visit next week. Please pray that this is a good option for us. We have always used a private individual in their home and really preferred this arrangement, but this could be just as well. It just happens to be down the road from our home, DH went to school w/ the director’s dtr and his friend and coworker sent both of their kiddos there. I’m beginning to feel some peace.

Please pray for my primary caregiver. I’m sure she may be a little hurt with us leaving her and I’m not sure about her finances, not to mention the pain she’s in right now till her surgery in January. I don’t want to leave on bad terms, but she has put us in a bind time and time again and a daycare center would offer more stability. Not to mention, now that her DH is retired, I can easily see her taking more and more time off for travelling to visit her grown kids and grandkids. Please pray for her family’s needs and her health.

Thank you again for all of the prayers!

Please continue to pray for our family. I TT another parent this morning who said she toured the center we’ll be touring today and she was extremely hesitant to send her children there. I don’t WANT to send my one and only child to a daycare center all by himself, but it could lend itself to sending my older children there for the summer program. I like the idea of the stability of having more than one caretaker there, but I don’t like the idea of turnover, which I’ve heard can be a real problem.

I asked this other parent if the rumors I heard were true and she said yes, our sitter is retiring. My sitter hasn’t told me personally yet, so I don’t even know what my deadline is for finding another provider. I will ask her today.

I always have to think ahead to summertime for my older children. I like sending them to their old sitter b/c she doesn’t charge us for days we aren’t there, which really helps us out. The center we’re looking at is actually more expensive than what we’re paying now and we already struggle just to keep up with regular expenses, but they offer a summer program for older kids.

Please, Father, please let DH be motivated to look for a better-paying job that will support our family on one income. I have waited ten years and in these moments, I am deeply saddened and troubled. Please also continue to pray for the other families who use our provider to find suitable situations.

Well, I told myself that no matter what, this daycare center would be fine and we’ll just make the move. I was glad DH went with me today so he could see for himself, it was awful. I was grateful to have found 3 other in-home providers with openings. Praying one of them works out. Still praying for the other family needing to place 2 children, she’s able to find one provider to keep both of her children together.

DH is still hung up on what to do with our older children next summer, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. By God’s grace, we’ll be able to afford for me to stay home and it won’t be an issue.

Please continue to storm heaven for our families and our retiring provider.
