I saw a program on EWTN a while ago.
the man speaking told of a story about a woman who had 7to 10 sons.
There was a ruler who proposed an offer to her.
she would receive her freedom if she denied God
Her sons one by one were given offers of money, etc if they denied God.
The woman, (mother) of each son was re-assured by her that the life they are going to is more important than what is being done to them now during that time.
Each son was killed by the ruler or king.
can anyone remember who the ruler/king was or the name of this incredible story of faith? Where is it written?
I am not sure if this is Catholic or Jewish but sure would appreciate any help in finding it again.
