spauline,
The commentary that you are talking about is from Archbishop Averky Taushev. His commentary is based upon mostly St. Andrew of Caesarea. I have most of St. Andrew’s commentary on Revelation, and I am using it in my commentary. I have all of St. Bede’s, Oecumenius, St. Victorinus, and much of Primasius, St. Andrew, Tyconius, Apringius of Beja, St. Caesarius of Arles commentaries on Revelation. I have ordered Nicolas of Lyra’s commentary on Revelation and it should be in in a day or two, and I will be using it as well. The only commentaries that I have not been able to purchase is Andreas and Arethas. I have spent hours upon hours just doing searches on the internet trying to find some book seller that has them, but I have not found any. I would buy them in a heartbeat if or when I find them. I have 27 pages of commentary for chapter 1 alone, and I will have more pages after I get Nicolas of Lyra’s stuff in it. I am excited to see how he interpreted Revelation. He was a 13th century Franciscan exegete who stressed the literal interpretation of Scripture. That will bring a unique addition to my commentary! This project has turned into a much bigger deal than I ever dreamed it would, but I have been having the time of my life working on it!
