Need help identifying a statue of Mary

So, I’ve been studying architecture in Italy this semester. My university has a center in this small town where I’ve been for almost 3 months. The local church I’ve been going to on Sundays has one of the most beautiful statues of Mary that I’ve ever seen, and based on the inscription above, is a statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception. If possible, I’d like to find a vendor that sells this particular statue, assuming it wasn’t a custom commission for the church. Attached is an image of the statue. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! If no one has anything on it, it’s still a beautiful statue I wanted to share!

 
It looks to be custom made for someone or something. I have seen similar statues before, but they still aren’t the same as this one. Maybe it is meant to be a replica of one of the miracles but just a different perspective. I’m not entirely sure.

However, being in Italy, many of the statues in Churches (especially one’s encased in glass like the one you have presented) are originals and custom made.

Either way, it’s a beautiful statue of Our Lady!
 
What a gorgeous statue. I love the detail in the face, especially, and the gold accents.
 
Looks like a version of Our Lady of Lourdes. It was at Lourdes that Our Lady identified herself to Bernadette Soubirous as “The Immaculate Conception”.

Yes, the statue is a depiction of Our Lady of Lourdes. 🙂 St. Bernadette described her as having a blue sash and golden roses on her feet. As depicted, and according to our Saint, OLOL hands were folded in prayer as she said the words: “I am the Immaculate Conception.”

This particular statue has some embelishments not uncommon for depictions of Mary. Her veil is augmented with a golded border–to show that she is a heavenly being in glory with Christ.

It is similar, but not identical to the picture you posted. There may not be an exact miniature replica of that particular statue, but you can do some digging with those search terms to perhaps come pretty close.

I have a statue of OLOL that looks very much like the one in the church–a much smaller one, but very much the same. The one you linked is sweet, to be sure, still, it’s an artist’s redention, as are all such artistic depictions. It’s OLOL all right. Of that I’m sure. 🙂

It helps. But it also helps to know a little about Our Our Lady of Lourdes in order to appreciate the title of Immaculate Conception.

I do know a little about Our Lady Of Lourdes. And if you do a search, she is typically depicted with Rosary beads hanging down. I don’t see any in the photo above.

You will also find, if you do a research of The Immaculate Conception which is the title of this statue, you will usually not see Mary wearing a veil as she does in this statue. In this statue she is also wearing the blue sash as depicted in Our Lady of Lourdes who identified herself as the Immaculate Conception.

Oftentimes a rosary is added by those who purchased the statue. There’s a large, beautiful string of large pearls in the hands of a statue of OLOL in the oldest parish in MN–Our Lady of Lourdes in Mpls. It didn’t come with the statue, it was donated to the parish.

My statue has a rosary incorporated into the statue, but wasn’t all that visible so I added a pearl-like rosary to make it more prominent. And the roses on her feet were pink! I remedied that by buying gold ribbon roses and put them on the statue’s feet, again for authenticity and to make them more visible. 🙂
