Need help! (Pre Cana)

Hello~

We’re set to be wed in April, and need to attend the Pre Cana class ASAP! :bigyikes: I just found out that you have to register 6 month before… Even worse, I’m having hard time finding any schedule for LA area.

Can anyone let us know about any future dates (anywhere in CA, we’re willing to travel 🙂 )? I’m just hoping there is space available…

PS I hope I didn’t sound too light on this subject… We do take this very seriously, and we’re hoping we can make up on the time. 🙂
 
There’s usually an option of several meetings with the priest or some other organizer or a weekend retread (Engaged Encounter). I would suggest the EE weekend since you’re in a crunch.

I would call your diocesan office, they should have the schedule.

Didn’t anyone mention this when you were talking about the wedding date?
 
Your priest should have made it clear. Maybe your parish can find a deacon who will give you a crash marriage prep?
 
I think you would have better luck asking your own parish where you are getting married if there are any Pre Cana classes that are available sooner. In a city as big as L.A., I am sure there is.

Sometimes Catholic Family Services offers these courses separately from the Parish. Do you have that in L.A.?

We called the archdiocese of Los Angeles and received a full list of available classes. We were up in Santa Barbara few weeks ago and completed our course there. It was a nice break from the marriage preparation, and the class was well worth the trip!
