I inherited a sacramental from my mother. I think she might have originally got it from her mother who was from Ireland. It was made in France, has a little medal where the crucifix is, then three beads and another medal. There is then a loop of beads and medals similar to a rosary but this sacramental has seven decades with seven beads each separated by medals. Each of the medals separating the “decades” has an image of the Blessed Mother, her heart peirced with seven swords and the words, “Mother of Grief Pray for us”. The other side of each medal has an image from the passion of our Lord. I’m sure the devotion must have associated with the seven dolors, or seven sorrows of the Blessed Mother. If anybody has any more specific information on the proper name for this devotion, how to pray it and possibly where it came from I would appreciate the info. Thanks.

There is a chaplet of the Seven Sorrows (maybe it’s called the chaplet of Our Lady of Sorrows). This sounds like it.

Thanks for your help. I visited the web site you listed and, sure enough, it looks like I have a rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Mother or also known as a Servite rosary. Thanks again for your help.:amen:
