Need help with important decision

Sorry if I’m not supposed to post this topic here. I’m kind of have time against me. Also too bad today is Friday, and it’s hard to reach any doctor.

Wife was just pregnant recently. She’s about 11 weeks. But on our last two sonograms (Tues and Wed) shows that there’s no heart beat and baby stopped growing a week or two ago.
I just came back from the pharmacy with Cytotec for the wife. The doctor said she needs to take this to go into labor to pass the baby or risk a dangerous infection.

On my way back from the pharmacy, I was wondering at one point is the baby dead? I don’t think it would be wrong if the drug was used in case baby is no longer alive, but what if baby is alive despite not having heartbeat? I’m feel stuck.

Please someone who knows something and have references offer some advice.

By the way, baby possibly hasn’t passed naturally related to progesterone supplemented vaginally for a healthy pregnancy.
 
We can’t provide medical advice on this forum. However, purely from a scientific standpoint… if you don’t have a heartbeat, you’re not alive. And there is such a thing as a missed miscarriage and it can lead to sepsis.
 
Thank you. I think what I need to make the best decision is to know if the life has already ended.
