Need help with priest bashing

Some children crave hugs. One becomes adept at pivoting sideways and only presenting ones arm and shoulder, disengaging quickly.

Pretty much every diocese has a child protection policy, and in ours, we are only allowed a quick side hug. So, if a child comes up to us wanting a hug, this is what we’re trained to do. I don’t know if that’s the rule in every diocese, but either way, it’s a good policy.

I will keep your son in my prayers, he sounds like quite a holy priest. Have you thought of asking St. John Vianney for help when these situations happen? That’s what I would suggest

An excellent suggestion. I met several of his classmates mothers while they were in seminary. We’ve lost touch since ordination. Maybe we should have a reunion luncheon. Great idea.
