My husband’s niece is in her 30’s, married not too long ago, and happily they are expecting their first child. This is the first great grandchild for my mil.
Back some time ago, this niece used to like playing in the sewing room as a girl and loved all the fancy fabrics that showed up on a regular basis. I collected remnant fabrics from her grandma and aunty’s sewing room, some time back, and made a baby quilt. This is the first great grandchild for grandma, and I was looking for a way to word a card that will be with the quilt. Something that honors grandma who is very loved and who served the family lovingly for decades, and welcomes new baby. The couple do go to church so mentioning God and blessing would be fine.
I’m having trouble collecting my thoughts and don’t want to write a long book about it. lol
I am also hoping for some happy tears from the niece. Thankfully her grandma is still with us and can attend. She is 84 and a kind and faithful lady. (I sure am lucky to have had such a lovely mil)
Thanks!
