Need Help!

This is Psalm 25: 7

Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth. Remember me in the light of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD.

When I looked for the Hebrew word for light, I could not find it. I am not sure which Hebrew texts I used.

Also, there are translations that do not have light at all.

ANY HELP?

This thread is on the same subject and seems to give you an answer about the literal translation and how it is meant to be taken. I’m no expert on Hebrew, but I do know that many languages have different ways of translating a word with the same base meaning, but a different way of phrasing it, so that may be why the word light is missing in some cases.

My problem was in the English. A nice person pointed that out to me.

In English, “in light of” means in view of or because of.

I just don’t know English.
