Okay, so my Lenten resolution was to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet everyday. Just now I prayed it really fast, trying to meditate as much as I could, because I only had a few more minutes left in the day. I meant to begin with plenty of time left in the day, but I kind of got absorbed in some homework and lost track of time a little bit. Now I’m worried that praying it really fast and not focusing as much as I should have might have been vain repetition and a mortal sin. Thoughts?

I think you are being scrupulous. Go to sleep.

Monday morning seek some professional help for scrupulosity.

Slow down. It is much more important to be fully spiritually present to your prayer than to complete it by some deadline. Remember, heaven is outside of the space time continuum. God desires that you have an Encounter with HIm, not complete any given task in a timely manner.
