He is a good man, but when he gets angry he says some pretty awful things to my daughter and me…so I suppose you may be on to something. He admits it is wrong, but still it happens…less often than before but still too often. What can I do to help him besides pray for him?.

GEt a pair of head phones, become involed in church, and leave him alone. Develop a network of friends you can share your religious views with. If you talk to him about it he will view you as attacking and nagging him.

I have heard about the green scapular being good for conversions. I don’t think he would wear one, but I think I can put it under his pillow or mattress & pray the prayer every day. Has anyone heard of it or tried it?
I’ve heard of it in another thread, but I don’t know much about it. There is a website, daughtersofcharity-emmitsburg.org/what_new022.htm, that can give you somemore information about it. Take care and God bless.

Hello,
I was reading about this issue and I have an idea. I think Sacramentals are in order here. Holy Water, Oils, Salts – all things that are subtle. One place the order them from is: cukierski.net/

I’ve just ordered a few. I think that since your husband reacts to “sound” (TV, radio) the silent change may be better – such as prayer, and the use of these sacramentals which include the Scapular.

Of course, pray to the Blessed Mother for her intercession.

Blessings,
Joanie

It sounds like your husband is bad for your daughter…he sounds almost abusive. I really hope that your marriage works out and your daughter is strengthened by this experience, and that both your husband and daughter learn to love God and serve Him.
