Does anyone have any numbers on abortion globally? Like how many per capita in any country per population and with factors such as health care (canada I am thinking now, but anywhere else) and if there is a corrolation with any factors that lead to higher abortion rates, I just get conflicting information everywhere I seek it myself. Poland and Italy are high on the scale from what I can see so far, but I need solid evidence, not shifty sources.

Thank you for helping me if you can. I just can’t sleep some nights because I think about this and how we must not be trusting God and why we don’t, I know I did not most of my life up till recently.

But I just have to know, what is happening, why has the catholic church always stood fast and has never said it was negotiable, because I think even though other christians are promoting pro-life, I just want to know when they ever made it a clear statement?

It seems the only christian body that has always stood before life in the womb, is the catholic church.

why are there so many abortions going on in spain??? 😦

Monica, I don’t know if it is possible to get clear-cut numbers on abortions. I know the numbers are “massaged” by different people to produce different effects.

If Planned Parenthood does not report abortions performed on minors (they are legally obliged to report abuse of children), how can we trust them to report accurate numbers? We also know that the founders of NARAL pulled numbers out of a hat to “justify” legalizing abortion.

I don’t disbelieve numbers in general. I just take them with a grain of salt, and consider the source.

“Abortion statistics in the U.S. is only available from two sources, privately from The Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) and federally from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Since Alaska, California and New Hampshire do not provide abortion data to the federal government, and since California accounts for more abortions than any other state in the U.S, the CDC numbers are not complete. AGI, on the other hand, is the research arm of Planned Parenthood, the world’s largest abortion provider. While their data is helpful, they certainly have a position and agenda in regard to abortion. The following information has been gleaned from both sources and should give you a better idea of the frequency and distribution of abortion statistics.”
