Someone on our parish’s education committee contacted me because they got the idea that they’d like to put a laminated card in the pews with information about the Mass for visitors and ignorant parishioners. They want something that explains the different parts of the Mass and gives a little historical info and which also explains who can and can’t receive Communion.

They figure they can’t have been the first people to have this idea, and that something like this must have been published somewhere. Consequently, they want me to search the Internet for something like this they could buy.

I’m not sure where to look, so I’m consulting the Group Mind at the Catholic Answers Forums. Have any of you seen something like this at your parish, in a catalogue, or online?

Thanks for any help.

I saw a card once in a church (can’t remember where, but it wasn’t here in Ireland - possibly the UK or the US).

The card explained mainly the teachings on the Eucharist - and that non-Catholics should not come forward. It also invited anyone interested to contact the RCIA group, giving the contact details.

I was very impressed, and thought that every church should have something like this for visitors who just wander in.
