My son was dx’d with Type 1 Diabetes. Even though it has been a year and a half, it has not gotten any easier. My heart is broken and I feel I cannot stand up under the crushing weight of this cross.
This has been really hard for my little boy, and even though he tries to be a trooper about it, this has been VERY hard for him.
He struggles to reconcile the fact that God loves him, and that the same God allowed him to get this wretched disease. His faith has been shaken, and it has been hard to see him try to maintain his faith while at the same time feeling abandoned by God.
I have 3 other children, and I homeschool so alone time is almost naught. My happy mask is faltering, and the tears come whther I want them to or not. I have to be so careful because my husband is Type 1 and blames himself for our son,s disease. So, I cannot share my pain with him and we cannot comfort eachother. he walks around like a deer caught in headlights.
This has been hard for our whole family, but the burden of his care falls on me, and I am VERY VERY underqualified for the job. I have severe ADD, and I am always scared because one mistake in calculations, or to forget something could mean severe and disastrous consequences for my son. The pressure at times is unbearable.
I also have PTSD due to severe mistreatment and abuse during my last birthing experience at our local hospital. And now before every dctrs appointment, I spend two days before throwing up, and severe anxiety. many times I end up rescheduling and it is so hard to get my son to the doctors. To trust those I fear is very hard.
I am having a hard time with htis as of late, and really need some prayer support.
Please pray for my family and for all those who suffer their children having a terrible disease.
I have just been having a really bad few days. Everytime I am alone for a second, the tears come immediately, as if they are waiting for me.
I don’t mind that I have been chosen to suffer this cross, I am just a little saddened that I have been left with so little grace to bear it with.

Father God continue to work in this families life. Continue to strengthen ANA as she care for her family while dealing with her own issues. Be with that special boy who is trying so hard to withstand this disease with grace. Help the father to know that he isn’t meant to feel guilt forever. Release him. Release ANA from her fears or better yet grant her grace in order to walk through them. Father, you tell us that You are not far from the needs of your children. Thank You for how You have keep this family together.
