Need prayer

I have a severe anxiety disorder with horrible panic attacks that prevent me from functioning normally. Please, if you could, pray for me. I’m not Catholic but I’ve always been drawn to the faith. Thank you.

Emily-
I pray for an answer for your discomfort. Please know that there are medications if you are unable to get this in check: some will take it away altogether. I hope you won’t let this take over your life.
 
Praying for your anxiety attacks to leave you.
Praying that God will send great peace, comfort and joy into your life.

Anxiety often gets me and stops me from being productive in any way. It wasn’t until recently when I returned to the church and read Matthew 6:34 that I had something else to help me cope with my anxiety. I have found my returning to the church and to prayer to be a great help. To know that I can offer up all my troubles and that I am loved, was a great relief. That being said, I also sought medical help and that coupled with my ever growing faith, I’ve been better able to handle my anxiety.

I hope things improve for you. With all my heart I do.

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth
As it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us form the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy. Amen.

Hi emily I myself have suffered for years on and off with anxiety/panic attacks. I will indeed be praying for you and I understand how frightening this is when it happens.I hope you join the Group here on CAF called Catholics Living with Mental Disorders.There are a few of us there with varying health conditions but it really helps to chat to one another and try to help one another.I hope to see you there God bless
