Hi,
I have some very big decisions to make. I won’t go into a lot of detail but my boyfriend and I are considering moving across the country together near his family, which would be a very huge decision for me to make. He’s much more sure of the relationship than I am, and I’ve been waffling about whether or not I want to do it because to me it would mean that I was ready to commit to him completely (as in considerations of marriage being in the relatively near future). I don’t love him like he loves me, I still miss my ex-boyfriend who broke my heart, and it’s just not the same with this new person, even though we are so compatible with each other. I feel like if I were to fully commit to starting a life with him, I would be leaving my dreams of being able to really love someone behind. Yet having a life with him would make things so much easier for me–I’d have a place to stay (with his parents and he would get his own place), an easier job market, a beautiful small town, and it’s basically a ticket out of my own not-so-great town and away from my rather dysfunctional family. (But I feel a duty to stay near them and just don’t want to be far away.) I can’t tell whether he’s pressuring me or whether I’m too indecisive. As you can see, it’s complicated and it keeps causing conflicts between us. I have agreed to visit for a week and see how I feel about moving there, and we have to get the tickets ASAP. I can’t go if my heart’s not in it, but that would basically mean the end of our relationship and no longer continuing to try and work it out. I really don’t know what to do and I am out of time to make my choices…I don’t know what God wants me to do, at all. If I follow my heart, it feels self-destructive because I’ll stay in my town, living with my parents, with little independence and few opportunities…and this amazing, supportive, wonderful man who I really don’t feel like I have passion for, is offering me this pretty much golden opportunity to move away and start a new, independent life. Not to mention my bf has been waiting for me to decide, holding back job offers, staying on unemployment insurance because he doesn’t know if he’ll stay long enough to get a job, etc. etc. I don’t know why God gave me such a wonderful person for whom I don’t feel the kind of selfless and strong love I should feel. So, as you can see, I really need prayers, because I lack so much clarity right now. I have only a few weeks to make up my mind before I graduate and go home…:doh2: sorry if this is too much details, but it’s a complicated situation. Thank you for your prayers… :’(

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Life can get pretty complicated at times. You have to determine which decision will make you a better person and a better Christian. (although that’s easier said than done knowing that we can’t see the future). However, you have past experiences to guide you and we have a living God who cares for us. Now if ever you make a bad decision then it’s never to late to rise up from our mistakes.
God guide you. You will be in my prayers.

Praying that God will make the right decision clear for you …

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, turn your ear to my prayer. Amen

Prayers for your intentions….

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayers. Amen

For your intentions…

From all eternity, O Lord, You planned my very existence and my destiny. You wrapped me in Your love in baptism and gave me the Faith to lead me to an eternal life of happiness with You. You have showered me with Your graces and You have been always ready with Your mercy and forgiveness when I have fallen. Now I beg You for the light
I so earnestly need that I may find the way of life in which lies the best fulfillment of Your will. Whatever state this may be, give me the grace necessary to embrace it with love of Your holy will, as devotedly as Your Blessed Mother did Your will. I offer myself to You now, trusting in Your wisdom and love to direct me in working out my salvation and in helping others to know and come close to You, so that I may find my reward in union with You for ever and ever.
Amen

Thank you all…I have decided that since my heart was not totally in it, I couldn’t go forward with the plans to move or even visit. My boyfriend and I are currently broken up, yet are still seeing each other…he will move without me next month. I don’t want to give up someone so special to me, and with whom I have such an uncommon connection, but I feel like I have done the right thing by delaying these decisions. Your continued prayers are much appreciated.
