I recently attended a disability hearing in which a judge will determine whether or not I am capable of working full-time. As much as I don’t like it, I am not able to work full time or at all at present. Please pray that the judge decides in my favor so that I may receive disability benefits. They are much needed as I am now indigent as well as ill. Thank you.

It took me three years to get a diagnosis that would grant me disability.
I was finally labeled a Paranoid Schizophrenic and that unlocked disability benefits.
I will pray for you.

Be at peace,
Dan

Diem, I’ll pray for you. In the meantime, don’t waste your suffering (anxiety, etc.). There is much to be gained through Redemptive Suffering! Offer it all up in reparation for sins and for those in Purgatory (your relatives and friends, and those who have no one to pray for them).

God bless! 🙂

Thank you, Dan. Your prayers will be strong as my case is one of mental illness as well. I hear such cases are hard to prove. The fact that I am under age 50 doesn’t help either, but I did the best I could and am hoping for mercy.

Thanks for the reminder Scooby. I often offer my suffering up, but hadn’t thought to offer it for the suffering of the waiting on a decision. It is difficult. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Praying for you, Diem, and for you too, Dan.
Diem, it’s not much fun to be stuck with mental illness, I’m sure.
I hope and pray you will receive the support, but that in the meantime you will be able to manage.
Diem, in recent times St Therese of Lisieux father was beatified. Blessed Louis Martin suffered from a mental disorder in his later years. I ask you blessed Louis to please pray for Diem and Dan (and Holly is also in my thoughts). I’m sure St Therese would also be glad to pray for you. She was naturally distressed over her father’s suffering.

God bless you, Trishie

Praying with Bible verses from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Mid-morning reading (Terce) Deuteronomy 1:16-17 ©
At that time I told your judges: You must give your brothers a fair hearing and see justice done between a man and his brother or the stranger who lives with him. You must be impartial in judgement and give an equal hearing to small and great alike. Do not be afraid of any man, for the judgement is God’s.

Noon reading (Sext) Isaiah 55:8-9 ©
My thoughts are not your thoughts,
my ways not your ways – it is the Lord who speaks.
Yes, the heavens are as high above earth
as my ways are above your ways,
my thoughts above your thoughts.

Afternoon reading (None) 1 Samuel 16:7 ©
God does not see as man sees; man looks at appearances
but the Lord looks at the heart.

Thank you very much for your prayers Trishie, thePhoenix, and St.Gabriel.
