I am currently discerning my vocation to the priesthood. I just wanted some back-up on this. I have always been amazed by how the priest could change simple wine and bread into the body and blood of christ. I think that is how god has called me. I just wanted to know if anyone else thinks so. God Bless!:highprayer:

I may be called to the priesthood too. I got some advice on it from a priest once and he reccommended that I start the schooling to become one and it would become apparant if this was my calling. I think I am going to take him up on the advice and start with the schooling to become a priest. Maybe you can do the same thing. Also prayer is important. Maybe spend some time in adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament will help.

All in all though I think that if you have a feeling that you have been called to the priesthood, then you probably have been. Its up to you to follow through on that. Which is good advice to myself as well. I think that now I will move forward on my vocation and hope you will too. God bless you and I will pray for you:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless

Praying for discernment for your vocation to the priesthood. God bless you. Perhaps you could talk with a spiritual advisor?

May the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be speaking to you both and that your hearts may be open to the words of the Holy Trinity.

Amen.

I pray that the Lord will give you wisdom to know the path He is leading you and grant you with the grace to obey and respond to His calling. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Praying for discernment.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I prayed
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. "

Amen.

I will be carrying you both with me to sit before the Blessed Sacrament and I will pray for your discernment process.

Right now since this is SacredHeartFan’s request…let us pray.

Jesus,

I ask that you who see and know SacredHeartFan’s heart build him up in knowledge and wisdom. I ask that you would keep him from this world and its desire to swallow him. Hold him up and help him to see the wonderful duty of priesthood. It is total service to you. Make it known to him that each priest and each person praying is a special link, a conduit to your grace. It is only through the service of the priest that the body of Christ can receive you in the Eucharist. May the Holy Spirit guide your footsteps in the direction He would have you to go. What a radical young man to seek the heart of Christ…you go!! We thank you for SacredHeartFan and his service to you, whatever that is right now, and whatever it is to be in the future. I encourage you SacredHeartFan to step when the Holy Spirit moves you, and ask Jesus to give you the courage to take each one with confidence. Amen.

Shooting more prayers your way in your discernment process! Thanks for the prayers for me.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I will keep you in my rosary tonight too!

God Bless
