Sorry for the length of this, but my DH doesn’t understand my true dilemma and I knew I could turn to you guys for support if nothing else.
We do foster care and 1 of the children (2yr old) is to have a major heart surgery at the end of the month in a city 3 hours away and she’ll be hospitalized a minimum of 10-14 days. We’ve hit nothing but obstacles with this case which I won’t bore you with but please pray for these things. .
  1. CPS won’t help my with daycare costs for the 6 kids left at home so I’ll be forking out a minimum of $1000 to be gone.
  2. Just found out that Ronald McDonald House won’t let me stay there due to her being in CPS custody even tho we obviously have nothing to do with that.
  3. CPS wants the bio father to be with her at the hospital even tho he hasn’t seen her for over 14 months - he live 4 states away and is supposedly trying to get her and the brother back, but hasn’t progressed very much since they came to us around Christmas. (they talk on the phone-weekly altho she doesn’t have appreciable speech skills) - so since the hospital only wants 1 parent staying in the ICU with her at a time I am stuck wondering whether to drive 3 hours home and wait to be called or to just sit around waiting on him to leave the room.
I had planned all along to stay with her the entire time and she is super attached to me (as I am to her) and I think it will be detrimental to her to have me ‘disappear’ during this critical time. Help me to make the right decisions and have patience as it seems more stupid things come up on a daily basis.
  1. She has a medium procedure scheduled this Monday 7/7 and I’d appreciate prayers for her to be ok thru that as well. The Dad won’t be here for it, so I can stay the 1 night for that one.

Jesus please let Susan be able to keep this little girl company during her surgery and may Your kind heart heal hers. please remove the obstacle(s) that is preventing the father from being a father to his child. grant susan the grace to keep her faith strong so she can overcome the roadblocks that are preventing her from doing your will. i ask this in your name, Jesus Christ.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you O Virgin of virgins, my mother, To you I come; before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

susan, i will continue to pray for you and this family.

much love, :hug3:

Thank you all so much, I was so down about all this last evening when I wrote and couldn’t sleep. But praying to the Blessed Virgin for help calmed me enough to get to sleep by 3am.

I’ve been more resigned to living with whatever is going to happen today.

Praying for this little one. May God heal her little heart!
My prayers are going up for you also. Please don’t leave her during this time, it could be devastating. Stay near in case the father comes in and then skips out.
God Bless,
Pam

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

said a rosary today and asked the good Lord to make it happen so that you could comfort this little girl during her ordeal in a strange room with unknown people and that she pulls through.

praying for you too so that your faith triumphs fear and stress.
