Hello:
My name is Joe and I am a Catholic. I have had the fear of death all my life and now is has become overwelming.

Please pray for this intention: “Prayer for Joe Diviny that he overcomes the fear of death and finds peace in the Lord.”

Thank you all.

Joe

(If you have any intentions, please reply and I will pray for them)

Dear Joe I will ask the Lord to surround you with His love, fill you with confidence
and renew your faith.God bless

Dear Lord please hear our prayers for dear Joe.Please surround him with Your love and fill him with confidence in You.May his heart and mind be open to Your will may he hear You call.
Fear has built inside of him Lord and is testing his very faith.Through us may he rediscover his faith and trust in You.Guide us Lord to help him in every way.Thankyou for hearing our prayers Amen

O Lord, hear my cry pouring out from a troubled heart. The sorrow which clutches at my soul has driven me to You my protector, my True Friend in time of need. You know, my God, all my failings, my faults and my sins as well as the torment gripping my soul. My greatest sorrow should be for my disregard of Your holy commandments in the past, and I sincerely hope that you will grant me the grace of true contrition. O my Savior, hide not Your Face from me in this tribulation, let the light of Your Countenance shine upon me that I may be illuminated by Its love. If it be Your will, lighten this burden from me, yet should it be a means of my salvation, help me, help me O Lord, to carry this cross, for alone I can do nothing. Radiate Your love upon Your prodigal child O Lord, this beggar who knocks at Your door seeking shelter in Your Sacred Heart; this once proud earthen vessel made of clay seeks You, O Christ, and in a newly found faith, firmly believes that you will receive him in Your limitless Love and Mercy. Amen

"Dear God,

“I know that you created me in the perfect image and likeness of Yourself. I ask that you, Holy Spirit, and the archangel Raphael help me know and experience this health in my physical body. I am willing to release all thoughts and behaviors that create the illusion of fear of death. I know that You are omnipresent, so therefore, You exist in every cell in my body. Please help me feel Your love in my physical body so that I can know that You cradle me in Your arms right now. Amen”

Loving God,

We lift up intentions on behalf of Joe that he may find the virtues of hope, charity, and trust in your divine providence during his journey of faith, in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please help Joe to find the comfort, peace, and joy that you desire for all your children, dear Lord, regardless of the challenges, trials, and difficulties he or his family members may face on a daily basis. We lift this prayer for Joe at this time:

A PRAYER FOR THE VIRTUE OF TRUST

My trust is in sweet Jesus:
He is my passport to heaven!
I place my life in His gentle hands;
He will guide me along the rainbow.
My blind trust is His to guide,
May my soul reflect His light.
I look around and see Jesus’ help;
I know He is worthy of my trust.
Sweet Jesus, remain by my side,
Never letting my trust be shaken!
May I learn to share my trust with others,
So Jesus will be known to all!

Amen.

Joe,

I’m sorry you have this fear.

Be assured of my prayers that God will provide courage and perseverance and the right person with whom to partner (if needed) to assist you in overcoming fear.

Wishing you God’s peace,
Kathleen

Loving God please flood Your healing love into Joe Diviny that he overcomes the fear of death and finds peace in You.

Dear Joe, Jesus teaches us in Matthew 25 verses 31-46, that it is by our practical acts of kindness that He will judge us, and that those who live practical acts of kindness to other find welcome into Heaven. As Judge of souls we have His word on that.

“Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You; or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and make You welcome; naked and clothe You; sick or in prison and go to see You?” Jesus replies “I tell you solemnly, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.” [Matthew 25:37-40]

Jesus, You command that we love each other as You have loved us. “Since the Father loved us so much that He sent You to be the sacrifice that takes our sins away, we too should love one another.” [John 4:10-11] “By such love, everyone will know that we are Your disciples.” “Anyone who says ‘I love God’, and hates his brother is a liar, since a person who does not love the brother that he can see, cannot love God whom he has never seen.” [1 letter of John 4:20-21]

“Cease to do evil. Learn to do good, search for justice, help the oppressed, be just to the orphan, and plead for the widow. Then though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” [Isaiah 1:17-18]

Matthew 25 verses 31-46…Jesus’ words on who will be saved:

“The Last Judgement”

"When the Son of Man comes in all His glory, escorted by all the angels, then he will take his seat on his throne of glory. All the nations will be assembled before him and he will separate men from one another as the shepherd separates sheep from goats.

He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. then the King shall say to those on his right hand," Come you whom my Father has blessed, take for your heritage the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was a stranger and you made me welcome. I was thirsty and you gave me drink; naked and you clothed me; sick and you visited me, in prison and you came to see me.

Then the virtuous will say to him in reply, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you; or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you hungry and feed you; or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and make you welcome; naked and clothe you; sick or in prison and go to see you?

And the King will answer, " I tell you solemnly, in so far as you did this to one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me."

Next he will say to those on his left “Go away from me with your curse upon you, to the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels, for when I was hungry you never gave me food; I was thirsty and you never gave me anything to drink; I was a stranger and you never made me welcome, naked and you never clothed me, sick and in prison and you never visited me.”

Then it will be their turn to ask, “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty; a stranger or naked, sick or in prison, and not come to your help?”
Then he will answer, “I tell you solemnly, in so far as you neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me.” And they will go away to eternal punishment, and the virtuous to eternal life.

And since Jesus is the very Person who will judge all of us, I think we have to accept His criterion for who may be saved! His criterion is salvation depends upon our charity towards other people, which He regards as charity directly given to Him.

Please allow Jesus’ words to reassure you, even if you print them our and stick them somewhere you can see them.

Lord Jesus please help these scriptures also to reassure Joe that salvation isn’t beyond him, that Practical charity, along with the Sacrament will overcome his fear of death.

Our love “is not to be mere words or mere talk, but something real and active; only by this can we be certain that we are children of the truth.” [John 3:18-19] Your apostle Paul exhorts, “Do not let your love be pretence, but sincerely prefer good to evil. Love each other as brothers should, and have a profound respect for each other…If any of the saints are in need you must share with them; and you must make hospitality your special care.” [Romans 12:9-13]

“Be compassionate as your heavenly Father is compassionate” even to the sacrifice of His beloved Son. “Do not judge others and you will not yourself be judged. Grant pardon and you will be pardoned. Give, and there will be gifts for you: a full measure.” [Luke 6:36-38] “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you; in this way you will be children of your Father in heaven, for He causes the sun to rise on bad men as well as good, and His rain to fall on honest and dishonest persons alike…You must therefore be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.” [Matthew 5:43-48]

“Is there a poor brother among you, one of your brothers, in any town of yours? Do not harden your heart or close your hand against that poor brother of yours, but be open-handed with him.” [Deuteronomy 15:7-8] “Each one should give what he has decided in his own mind, not grudgingly or because he is made to, ‘for God loves a cheerful giver.’” [Proverbs 28:2] “And there is no limit to the blessings which God can send you…for yourselves…for all sorts of good works.” [2Corinthians 9:6-8] “None of us lives for himself only.” [Romans 14:7]

“We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves…For Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, ‘The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.’” [Romans. 15:1-3] “Malice must be banished from your tongue.” [Psalm 34:13]

Lord Jesus please help us to live in practical charity, even when it is just a smile or a kind word. Please calm the storm in Joe’s mind and help him trust in Your great love and mercy as he continues to live a good Catholic life.

Thank You, Jesus

Dear Joe i hve been thinking much about you.You are in my prayers. Here is a prayer to recognise God’s love for you.God loves you as He loves us all.Try not to fear death it is only a
step to the next life.Trust in God’s love for you.God bless you.

HELP ME TO RECOGNIZE YOUR LOVE FOR ME
(By Olga de Juana)
You have knowledge of all things, Lord,
In all ways great and small.
You show me that You love me.
When I enjoy a beautiful flower,
When I am refreshed and nourished,
When I hear wonderful music,
When I see amazing art,
Help me to recognize Your love for me, in these things.

When I am injured and then healed,
When I am weak and then become strong,
When I think I’ll never love again
And then I find an even greater love,
When I am faced with adversity and then I triumph,
When I am lost and some how find my way,
When I forget something important and suddenly remember,
Help me to recognize Your love for me, in these things.

When I am lost in grief,
Thinking that I shall never think of my loved one and smile again.
You know exactly the right time and thought to place within me,
To make me smile again.
When I drift from You into a cloud of spiritual darkness,
Spiraling down and then you lift me up,
Help me to recognize your love for me, in these things.

When I think about all the great and small ways
That You showed how you loved me,
I’m sure it’s important to you Lord.
So please, Lord, help me to recognize Your love for me.

I hope this one helps…

Death is nothing at all

I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!
(Canon Henry Scott-Holland, 1847-1918, Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral)

Lord Jesus,
Please remove the fear Joe is having and give him strength, courage, hope and good health as he lives on. And that when he passes on eventually, as we all must do that he may see the face of the Lord and live with the Lord in eternity in heaven forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on Earth as it is in heaven,
give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespasss against us,
and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil,
Amen.

PSALM 139 ( 138)

O Lord, you search me and you know me,
you know my resting and my rising,
you discern my purpose from afar.
You mark when I walk or lie down;
all my ways lie open before you.

O where can I go from your spirit,
or where can I flee from your face?
If I climb the heavens, you are there.
If I lie in the grave, you are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn
and dwell at the sea’s furthest end,
even there your hand would lead me,
your right hand would hold me fast.

For it was you who created my being,
knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I thank you for the wonder of my being,
for the wonders of all your creation.

Do not look forward to what may happen
tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares
for you today will take care of you tomorrow and
every day. Either He will shield you from suffering,
or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace, then. Put aside all anxious thoughts and
imaginations, and say continually: “The Lord is my
strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in Him
and I am helped. He is not only with me but in me,
and I in Him.”

St. Francis de Sales

Hello Joe i hope you are doing ok.You remain in my thoughts and prayers.
Some bible references to hopefully reassure you.May God bless you

O God, early in the morning I cry to you. Help me to pray and to concentrate my thoughts on you: I cannot do this alone. In me there is darkness, but with you there is light. I am lonely, but you do not leave me. I am feeble in heart, but with you there is help. I am restless, but with you there is peace. In me there is bitterness, but with you there is patience. I do not understand your ways, but you know the way for me… Restore me to liberty, and enable me so to live now that I may answer before you and before me. Lord, whatever this day may bring, your name be praised. (Composed in a Nazi prison while awaiting his execution.)
Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945)

John 14:1-14
‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe* in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling-places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?* And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.’Thomas said to him, ‘Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.’

John 16:22
Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

Wisdom 3:1-3
The Destiny of the Righteous
But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God,
and no torment will ever touch them.
In the eyes of the foolish they seemed to have died,
and their departure was thought to be a disaster,
and their going from us to be their destruction;
but they are at peace.

Matthew 11 :28-30
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
