Hello all. My girlfriend and I are undergoing some serious issues regarding our future, but we both hope to get married. We are dealing with some issues including whether or not her use of a birth control pill can be considered a medical necessity for a condition for which she originally was prescribed the medication, whether the possibility of her being able to go off that pill to have children necessarily negates any medical neccesity, and her fears of how difficult the rules within a Catholic marriage would be by following NFP, etc. I’m also dealing with how to best explain these issues and comfort her while remaining true to the Faith. So I’m trying to find some referrals for possible priests or Catholic counselors in the Washington, D.C. area. I’m looking to find a priest or counselor who:
- We can trust in matters of Catholic Doctrine; and
- Has an expertise in counseling and consoling couples in these matters.
