Hi Convert,
I know exactly how you feel. I am also a stay at home housewife due to health issues. My children are grown and it’s just me and my husband. Many days it’s an effort just to get out of bed. My solution (it works for me). Each night before retiring I ask God to help me to be productive the following day. When I arise, I decide what needs to be done around the house and offer that up to God. I then put on some good uplifting christian music and begin my chores. After finishing a chore, I sit for 5 or ten minutes and give thanks to God for letting me finish that chore. Then go on to the next. At 3 o’clock each day I break for an hour and spend the “Holy Hour” with the Lord. This helps me get through the necessary chores and brings me closer to the Lord. Also start reading about the lives of the saints. There are many saints who lived what they felt were mundane lives. I find St. Therese of the Little Child Jesus to very inspiring. Also, when you start to feel depressed, try counting your blessings - even the most trival of things is a blessing from God (i.e. I got up this morning, the sun is shining etc.) Above all else, dear, pray without ceasing. God Bless you.
I’m so sorry armymom :console: You gave me great advice and coming from someone who understands what its like means so much. Thank you. :hug1:

There are so many lonely people out there. Maybe you could talk to your church and find another lonely soul who you could befriend?

In its most generic form, this would be considered a form of ministry. Anything you do on Christ’s behalf, is ministry. If you take up this role, you can rid yourself of your loneliness, and fulfill Christ’s will, at the same time.
