I have heard many people say that God has a way of giving us the things that we need when we have accepted that his will be done, not our will be done. A while back, I was having a hard time with a personal issue, so finally I prayed to God asking him to leave it all in his hands, and almost immediately I got the outcome that I wanted. I took it as a sign that God wanted me to go in a particular direction.

However, recently I realized that the outcome that I thought was a sign may have started happening before I asked God to leave it all in his hands. Does this mean it could have just been a coincidence? Or did God already know that I was going to ask him to leave it in his hands so he timed it so that I would see the outcome I wanted after I asked him to?

He really does know how you will respond .

Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.

Before you called on Him … He heard you . He is faithful and loving and YOU are the apple of His eye ! 👍

Yes, with God nothing happens by chance.

Dane, think about this…

God is outside of time. We humans live from moment to moment. Not God. He lives in the past, present, and future, simultaneously, at all times. He does not “foresee” the future, but sees it like you and I see the present moment.

Christianity, when it came into the world, added many things. One of the things it subtracted, however, was luck. There is no such thing as coincidence if you think God doesn’t know every intimate detail of our lives from beginning to end. He knows it all and either has a hand in causing it or allowing it. The most common question one normally hears from this information is why does God allow evil. The answer is equally easy and logical. God allows evil in order to bring a greater good from it. Best case to show this is the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ on the Cross for our sins. Greatest evil that was ever perpetrated. However, God allowed it because it opened heaven up again for mankind and purchased for us redemption, which is the greatest good for us. 🙂

True, but wasn’t Isaiah referring to the end times in that quote? Or is there other evidence in the bible that he does that today as well?

GOD answers all prayers. Sometimes the answer is no sometimes the answer is not right now and sometimes the answer is yes. If you have your doubts about that prayer and whether or not is was coiincidence pray to GOD to give you the answer. None of us can tell you.

The bible is most assuredly for TODAY as well . It was written down at the urging of the Holy Spirit to help us to direct us to God , to teach us his ways . Yes and Yes again read all the ways He made His love plain to us its for you and for me and for all of the folks on the planet . Happy Tuesday to you !

Dane-

Just hold on for a wild ride. It is so against our nature to believe in, put our faith in and for us to trust in someone we cannot see or hear with our “normal” scenes. Now that you have begun to accept the concept of ‘let go and let God’, there is nothing you cannot do - as long as it His will. Scoobyshme has it it on the head. Before you were conceived, God had your plan laid out. It is just up to us to let the plan work.
