My dear brothers and sisters in this forum, First of all, I would like to thank everyone in this platform who has been a guiding light. Life is a lot better now than those days when I didn’t know Christ. I owe a lot to all you random strangers on this forum.

I need your guidance now regarding an issue that is getting me worried. During confession, one gets the grace to overcome the power of sin. I have experienced that in my life. I fell for a particular sin recently and tried my maximum to go for a confession. But in the present scenario, it’s very difficult. I get strong temptations and fear that I will fall for it again. Without the Grace I receive from confession I feel weak to overcome these. Like we can attend the Holy Mass online and receive Jesus through Spiritual Communion, is there something similar to that for confession? And please do pray for me. I feel like I have a spiritual family here. Thanks a lot once again.

Call your parish, check with your Diocese, to find current confession hours.

every service is suspended by order of government. I tried every possible ways.

I forget that not every country has the same Constitution and the United States. Still, call your priest or Diocese and ask them for advice.

Yes pray, pray, pray the divine mercy chaplet or the rosary for example… you can also recite the act of contrition, say to God that you desire to confess, go to adoration (if you can)…
Doing those things you can be sure that the Graces of God will surround you in these times of trouble.

I am at saudi arabia. There is a priest here and usually we get confession during mass times. And they dont give contact details of priest to people for security reasons. I am ready to go to his house, wherever he stays. But ☹️

How do you make an act of perfect contrition? Ask an Apologist
St. Thomas Aquinas was once asked to write a treatise on how to become a saint. According to the story, he was provided with a richly-bound volume full of blank pages on which he was expected to spill much ink on the question of achieving sanctity. When he returned the volume, the inquirer was surprised to find just two words: “Will it.” Aquinas’s answer applies to your question as well. One makes an act of contrition by willing to do so. A person cannot help the feelings, such as fear, tha…

Beg God for the grace to withstand these temptations, pray “Mary, Mother of Jesus, please be a mother to me now and shelter me from these thoughts/temptations”’; turn your mind to other prayer, go and do something to keep yourself busy.

Remember that God is not bound by the sacraments. He is capable of giving you the grace you need to avoid sin through the sacrament and outside of it. Whenever you pray, He hears you.

Yes, there is something similar to confession that you can do in your own home. You can pray directly to God for forgiveness and for the strength to resist temptation. I would suggest you also pray to St. Michael, the Archangel, to defend you from the wickedness of the devil. God is not unreachable simply because a pandemic is preventing us from physically attending Mass or going to confession.

By self-imposed isolation, we are protecting the vulnerable and helping to prevent the spread of this deadly virus. We are making sacrifices out of love and selflessness. God certainly approves of that, and welcomes our prayers and petitions directly to Him.
