Where do I begin in order to get back to the Church?
Go visit your local Catholic parish, then inquire to the priest about returning to the Church. If you were baptized and confirmed then all you would need to do is make a good confession.Where do I begin in order to get back to the Church?
While Confirmation is a Sacrament of Initiation and every Catholic should be confirmed, it is not absolutely necessary to return to the Church and receive the Eucharist. If that were so, we wouldn’t be waiting to confirm children, most of whom are not confirmed until after they have received Communion, and many of whom are teenaged. You need to talk to a priest about this. What is necessary is Confession. Confirmation can be done at a later date. Some Dioceses have adult Confirmation classes, some people are confirmed after private instruction, many do use the RCIA process. You have to check this out with your priest.Welcome home!
Talk to a priest. If you have been confirmed than all you need is confession. If not, then RCIA is needed to receive the sacraments.
God bless!
