Need urgent prayers to save marriage

Hi everyone,

I am in need of your prayers for my marriage. My husband has decided to file for divorce. I absolutely do not want this to happen, even though I might deserve it. We have had a difficult two-three years and I have handled many things improperly. His heart is hardened and cold right now. I didn’t see him for two weeks. He came home and hadn’t filed yet, but insists he is going to and that there is no hope. He refuses to speak to a counselor or priest as he believes it is too late and we are beyond repair.

I ask for your prayers now. God is the only thing I have to rely on. I am praying desperately for his heart to soften, to change. I am praying he will change his mind. I am working hard for this, but am still in need of one of God’s miracles.

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular PolishK’s marriage, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

I pray that God’s will be done in your life. I pray for you and your family to receive the grace to persevere and overcome evil.

Praying for you! May I suggest a devotion to the Sacred Heart as well as praying the rosary? Jesus did promise to establish peace in families that practice the devotion of the Sacred Heart.

Prayer to Restore a Marriage

Heavenly Father, I come before you today with a heavy heart; my marriage is in trouble, and I need your help. Make changes in my spouse’s heart. Make us compatible again, and bring us closer together. Fill us with your love and give us the strength to love one another, care for one another, and fulfill your destiny for us.

Show us the harm caused by careless words, and the pain caused by emotional distance. Bring us together, like we once were. Show us how to love one another again.

Heal the division between us. Make us one again.

In your name I pray, Amen.
 
Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,

Thank you for your prayers. I ask that you continue to pray for my marriage. My husband is still adamant that he is going to file for divorce. He spoke with an attorney yesterday.

I ask that you pray for the restoration of our marriage. For God to give me the strength to fight for my marriage. To guide me in every thought, word and action as I pledge my love and commitment to my husband. I ask that you pray for God to soften my husband’s heart. For him to see that divorce is not the right option. I know he feels stuck and doesn’t know what else to do. He doesn’t believe that our marriage can change. He claims it is “broken and irreparable”. Please pray that God creates new hope for him and a new marriage for us to share together.

Thank you for your prayers. My husband is still in the house and we are getting along very well. He has not mentioned divorce in the past two days, so I am unsure of what is truly going on in his mind. His actions certainly tell me he doesn’t want a divorce.

Please continue praying for us.
