I need prayers for my father in law who has been just diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It is hard on him and the entire family. He is completely depressed and spends the majority of his days crying and sleeping. This man means so much to all of us and our hearts are breaking for him.
 
Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Dear God, I know that you love us because you died on the cross for us.I know that you want nothing for us but the best in the light of eternity. So, I trust in your infinite wisdom and goodness and ask you to grant our request for a clear mind for this gentleman who is a child of the King, if it is according to your will. We accept whatever you decide.We leave everything up to your goodness and loving care… You are our God in whom we trust.
You sent your Son to die on the cross for us. It is said that “By His Stripes we are healed.”
We believe your word. Whether you use the wisdom of the doctor w the new medicines and procedures or you use the Holy Spirit for a spiritual healing. YOu are the great Physician.
As Mary said,“Be it done unto me according to your Word.” Amen

May the Holy Trinity be blessed.

Remind this family this is the beginning. They have time for many good days. Make a plan for things like flash cards that might help him recognize things later.Save the tears for the hard times.

Prayers said for your Father in law that he may have some decent days without crying.
I also pray for your family as I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you that you will find some comfort in our Lord and continued support from each other.

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal truthquester’s father in law. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into truthquester’s father in law’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I’m so sad for your Dad and for you and your family.
