Needing answers please

For several years now I have felt the presence of something or someone being with me or around me mostly at night. I believe in God and used to go to church. I do not live up to the standards I should in my faith or seek the knowledge I need to connect with God or read the Bible as I should or pray as I should but I do believe. I am 30 years old, I do not drink or use drugs I have a wife and 4 children. The object that I am wanting answers about for the past several years now has more recently made itself more visible and more frequent. He is a gray faced figure with what looks like hollow eyes and sometimes they look bluish white. It’s if like he is starting at me from time to time and I stare back. It’s almost like he taunts me and grins from time to time. The more it has came to me the less scared or frightened so to speak I have became and I almost feel drawn to it and it’s almost like we have a agreement of I know your here and I know you’re there so to speak. I do not feel threatened I haven’t ever had a physical encounter but I’m wanting to know if it is a demon. It’s looks to me like one I have never reached out or posted anything and didn’t know where too I googled and this is what came up some please help me
 
You’re better off seeking medical and spiritual advice from a doctor and a priest rather than on an Internet forum. This would allow you to explore all possible factors relating to your experience.
 
The first thing you need to do is go to a doctor and try to rule out any physical or mental causes. After this, you’ll want to speak to a priest and listen to his advice. He may seek to perform a house blessing, and would certainly encourage you to begin a regular prayer life. The closer you get to God, the more “repulsive” anything demonic will find you.

Speak with a Priest, get some holy water, and get some St. Benedict Medals. Perhaps have a rosary next to your bed

I really didn’t know what to put. I believe in God. I haven’t ever been a religious person so to speak. As a child I was taken to church. I have tried to seek the Lord but it seems as if I get easily distracted or lose interest.
 
I suggest that you read the Gospel of Mark (do you have a Bible?). It is the shortest of the Gospels and will give you a very good insight into the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus. From there you can extend yourself into more regular religious practice if you want but I strongly suggest going to the Gospel of Mark first, start reading it tonight!

Incase you don’t have a Bible, or not one easily accessible, check out http://bible.oremus.org

They have multiple different translations you can chose from and type into the search bar “Mark” and the entire Gospel will appear which you can read online or download I believe or just print it out. Make sure to uncheck “omit verse numbers” so you know where you are reading. If you need/want any help with that just let me know 🙂
 
What church were you brought to as a child? Do you go with your wife and kids? What denomination? It might help us to know a bit more about you so that we can direct you to the best help possible for you. If your wife goes to Catholic Church or you went there as a kid, I suggest speaking with a Priest

I was taken to a southern Baptist Church as a child. My family is babtist. Me and my wife has recently talked about finding a church to attend and getting closer to the Lord and raising our children in church.
 
I would suggest reading through Mark and then if you are interested in finding a church, find a church that has beliefs that you believe in. Don’t just go to a Baptist Church because that’s what you grew up in, this is just coasting which Jesus calls out. If you and your wife want to be more active, take an active look into what different faiths believe, Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox

There’s not enough information to say one way or the other. Nevertheless, I advise you to get your house blessed by a Catholic Priest.
 
Talk to a priest and potentially doctor. Also, say Jesus or Mary’s names when you see the thing and make the sign of the cross. If it is a demon, it wont like that. Hope this helps!
 
Strange rotten eggs smells in one of our children’s room. From time to time a certain one of our 4 months old wind up prayer bear goes off. My 3 year old daughter has recently started waking up in a frantic and speaks of a man. Her only answer is man when I ask her what’s wrong. She has pointed too 2 specific locations in our home each of one of the times it happens.

Could be something…

I would suggest reaching out to your local Catholic Diocese or Parish. A Priest can bless your house even if you aren’t Catholic.

Discuss the matter with your wife but I would definitely deal with this sooner rather than later.
