So the last couple months have been a struggle for me. I struggled with depression and anxiety but have seem to get over that, but now I struggle with scupulosity. Just wondering if it is a sin to look at a attractive cheerleader and think how pretty she is and how pretty her legs are. Didn’t know if this is considered a sin or not. Also if I look at any woman or even little girl I think I am checking them out but really I’m not and I feel terrible after thinking that’s a sin to. Anything will help. Thanks

I think you should start learning how to redirect you eros in more fruitful ways. For example, you could look into learning a new language, or an instrument, an author, or even a sport (Remember, girls like guys with unique hobbies 😉).

In any case, you can’t directly control your sexual emotions, like most emotions, you need to cultivate them indirectly through habits for the long term, like I suggested, but in the short term you have to control yourself with what you can directly control: your environment and circumstances. Remember, you choose what’s on the TV, what’s on the computer, what direction your head is looking at, etc. Resisting the temptation will start out hard, but it will get easier over time.

It may also help to develop other self-disciplines by fasting. Just decide, for starters, to only eat half of what you normally eat, and learn to eat it more slowly. You could also help be reining in your sleeping schedule too.

You can’t let yourself be burning with passion; eventually you’ll pop!

It sounds like you are a young man and with tendencies to OCD or scrupulosity.
Are you on meds?
Either way get yourself a regular confessor and ask him these questions not here. You need to be supervised not self medicating here.
