Prayer for those who will be affected by Tropical Storm Edouard…

At 4 p.m. Monday, the center of Edouard was 215 miles east-southeast of Galveston, TX with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph. It was located at 28.3 north, 91.4 west moving west-northwest near 7 mph. Tropical storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles from the center of the storm.

Lk 8:23-25 And when they were sailing, he slept; and there came down a storm of wind upon the lake, and they were filled, and were in danger. And they came and awaked him, saying: Master, we perish. But he arising, rebuked the wind and the rage of the water; and it ceased, and there was a calm. And he said to them: Where is your faith? Who being afraid, wondered, saying one to another: Who is this, (think you), that he commandeth both the winds and the sea, and they obey him? (Douay-Rheims)

We command :knight1: the strong wind, the rage of the water be calm and the storm Edouard we rebuked thee in JESUS name. Amen! All angels and saints pray for us Amen!

You will be in my prayers that the lord calms the storm and keeps everyone safe.

*Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Jesus please grant this prayer, and calm the storm.
Please increase our faith in all life’s storms.

I will ask the Lord to protect all who may be affected by this storm and that the damage it causes will be minimal.

The Prayer or Blessing against Storms
(Now of great importance!)

Amen!

( + ) denotes times to make the Sign of the Cross.

From the Pieta Prayer Book. Many great prayers in this small very inexpensive prayerbook. Buy one online or any Catholic Book Store.

Paul

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
Blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus
Holy Mary mother of God
Pray for us sinners now and at the
hour of our death.
AMEN

Thanks be to God and to your prayers the storm is not that strong…

1 Thes 5:17-18 Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
