How should a Catholic deal with someone who is probably a sadist?

Hi, your post is very concerning. I am praying for you.Would be worth finding a psychtherapist or other support to cope with this, and counter their negative behaviour genuine sadists or sociopaths are very destructive. The best thing to do is get away, however I understand you may not be able to this.Do you have friends or other people you can talk to? Are you physically safe? Would your school or collage be able to help? I am praying for you. Please post back to let us know you are safe.

Bring him to church and sing beautiful hymms. Hopefully his heart will be touched by the holy spirit.

I’d say that warning them that they are singing the devils tune may help. Then you might warn them that the devil is a sadist who likes to torture sadists himself.

At some point he or she will need God’s help and salvation, better for that person to start on that road sooner rather than later. God sees all and hears all, no sin goes without some degree of punishment, either here or later. The fear of God is a healthy and efficacious thing to have, but he has mercy on a contrite heart.

If they can understand what unconditional love is then you might also explain how showing respect and love for our fellow human beings is the right way to go, treat them as he or she would wish to be treated.

Pray of that person I think it’s only thing you can to do…

With respect, with kindness, with dignity as we are to “deal with” all people.

You have to forgive him/her. you might have to keep your distance if you’re not already pushed away. Expect the unexpected. Protect yourself.
