Their pal is now a phone-stalker;my phone always goes to voicemail, anyway. It’s a new tactic to try to break me;since i hinted at calling cops if he’s gonna call round again at 5.a.m wanting fags. He’s getting the msg now, that i’ve effectively banned him from visiting me.

Good. Don’t answer the door or the phone if you know it’s them. 🙂

We’ve had a succession of ‘neighbours from hell’ in the government housing house across the street from us. We’ve lived here now for nigh on 25 years and we’ve developed a zero tolerance for any shenanigans from over there. The first sign of disturbance, we call the police, every time.

The last lot had a woman stabbed in the liver (I never heard if she survived or not), then 2 weeks later another woman was bashed in the head with a brick. A week later, a man went on a rampage with a newly sharpened samurai sword. These were all visitors to the residents. They were evicted after that.

My advice is to call the cops. Don’t hint at it. Don’t hesitate. Call them, especially with this guy phone-stalking you.

We never found anything that worked besides calling the cops.

Yep, what she and odile53 said. Go back and carefully reread their post. I know here in the US you can call the cops anomously. Don’t EVER let these people know what your going to do. Fact is you owe these people absolutely nothing. You don’t have to give them anything, not even the time of day.

They have threatened you, think about it. If they are on drugs and are threatening you than they are capable of doing worse. Don’t think they can’t. People who let their guard down under such circumstances are the ones who get hurt. Stop trying to be nice and start being more assertive for your own protection.

I’m not sure why you are allowing yourself to be subjected to this kind of thing, and quite frankly, it does sound as if you are being menaced to continue to give them freebies, and if you allow this to continue, it will get worse, and more dangerous.

You mentioned that with the phone calls, you are starting to feel threatened. That perception is a gift of the Holy Spirit, called discernment. It is alerting you to real danger. Do not ignore it.

To deal with the phone calls, contact your telephone company to see if they have what we in the US call the Annoyance Call Bureau. This is a way the phone company will work with the police to stop annoyance calls, and prosecute the offenders. As far as the more intrusive things are concerned, call the police.

You are not doing them a favor by continuing to allow this sort of treatment. If you are reluctant to contact the police, the landlord, and the annoyance call bureau (and I wouldn’t be amiss to contacting the methadone or suboxone clinic as well,) ask yourself why.

The next door addicts, don’t bother me so much now;they’ve stopped asking for food.I think the phune stalker addict pal of theirs conveyed my msg to them. They’ve told me what a scrounger he is;i said they’re exactly the same, but they don’t want me to repeat it to him.He appears to be the main ring-leader/dealer for this area;so he could curb their fixes. He takes the same bus as them, few times a week & also sees them when they walk their dog. They all have mobiles;like most folk.He apologised by text yesterday, for sending a bad text msg, which i’d not read just deleted.I’m deleting & not replying;he seems to want power over me because i send a msg back;adding an extra week of no-contact exclusion to him.I’m just gauging his reaction to this.I’m hoping he’ll get the msg at some point to back away.On the otherhand,he might explode.I’m just saying there’s no problem between us & don’t bother me for 4 weeks. It was 2,3…now 4.

No, no, no, no - don’t communicate with them at all. Don’t tell them that you’re not communicating with them - simply just stop communicating with them. Do not answer the phone to them. Do not answer the door to them. Do not send them text messages. Make no reply whatsoever to anything that they do or say.

Simply live your life as if they did not exist, as if they were completely invisible, and as if you cannot hear or see them at all. No communication whatsoever - no threats, no deadlines, no “how do you do” in the street, no passing of the time of day, not anything.

Exactly, by communicating with them the op is giving them power over them. The op needs to contact the police and discuss this whole situation with them. No, don’t tell the neighbors or anyone that you are contacting the police just do it.

The two next door, have been oddly loud;these last few days.I invited the phone-stalker over last night, but he declined so;whatever was in the bad msg he sent that i didn’t read, makes one think he’s lacking courage of his convictions.Perhaps he’s backing-off & the situation may have cured itself? The problem with reporting this sort of thing is that there may be reprisals.these three addicts may be part of a network over a wide area;which is usually the case.It may be better to move away" That’s my plan, but as of now i’ll end communication.

I think the ring-leader has got the two next-door off my back;as he says they’re now getting shopping-trip help from an old lady in the block (who also drives). She lives below them & her ceiling fell in last year due to dripping water from their flat.May have been due to old pipework;but seemed odd. She’d complained to the landlord when they moved in;which resulted in them nearly being evicted;so perhaps they’d turned the taps on her? She got a Xmas-card from them;so now they’re best-pals.Well,they have to be …don’t they? Well now he’s started-up again;same tactics as the others. They all have same behaviour-pattern;won’t accept a refusal. They also want control over people. We’ve both made hints to each other.I’ll see if he backs-off.

Call the police and tell them that these people have been harassing you. Make the report.

The next time one of them comes to the door, call the police. Don’t answer your door.

Call the police every time one of them comes to your door.

Please.

I just read your post from the 14th. Sorry to sound harsh, but what on earth would possess you to invite the phone stalker over to your apartment?

I can understand your reluctance to report these shenanigans to the police for fear of retaliation, but why would you deliberately invite any one of these characters into your home? True, God lovingly watches over us, but I’m also called to mind Jesus’ words: “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God!” Inviting this person into your apartment, regardless of whether he declined, was just plain foolhardy. From what you’ve written in these many posts, frankly, I’m dumbfounded as to why you would do such a thing.

Good heavens!

Worse and worse. She should not be giving them rides, or communicating with them in any way, either. Nobody in the whole neighborhood should be giving them anything at all.

Everyone should be calling the police every time they call or come over. They are drug addicts, for heavens sake - they could go nuts and kill you all, at any moment. They need to be completely isolated and cut off, until they hit rock bottom and face the choice between getting sober, and starving to death.

Maybe also a new sign on display by the door “Trespassers will be shot!”
**Do not put up a sign like that even in jest. **

Imagine if the “recovering addicts” break into your home and you are actually forced to defend yourself with deadly force. An eager beaver prosecutor takes the case and goes after you for murder. Exhibit “A” to the jury is your sign and Exhibit “B” is your firearm. Even I could make that murder charge stick with those two pieces of evidence.

This trhead started in July and we’re almost in October. As so far from what I’ve read absolutely nothing has been done by the OP to rectify the situation,

So now I’ll ask; are you actually serious about doing something about this or are you going to continue to pay lip service?

Seems, the next door tenant had a disagreement with his pal & forced him out last week. The ringleader knocked while i was resting;in the early evening.I ignored but he started getting louder until i did answer. He wanted cigarrette papers.I told him not to gate-crash with an apology. These tactics must have been tried on others elsewhere;while they lived on the streets.Next door’s pal returned yesterday;seems they’ve made-up? The ringleader told me there’d been a legal problem with the landlord also & the tenant had been warned that if he continued to allow his pal to stay there unregistered;he could face eviction. His pal was the one doing the pestering;so i thought he’d gone for good.Well,in each situation they lie-low for awhile;then resume, tho’ they’ve not bothered me for several weeks now.

Just keep repeating to yourself that you are not required to answer. Break your Pavlovian programming - don’t answer the door, no matter how loud it gets (and especially if it gets loud) unless it’s someone you want to speak to, or the police.

Let’s hope it’s not an empty threat - support the landlord.

The ringleader says the next door tenant was lonely;but it’s more to do with sub-letting & affording drugs. He’s had someone else there for a few nights this week;not the original pest. The ringleader hasn’t been round since i told him that as i was the rent-payer;my choice as to when & whom i answer the door to.

As there was always one pest to replace another;i’ve got the police involved. The offenders are acting out of character;so a probe must have begun.
