Hi I’m a teen in the Neocatechumenal Way and it’s a great thing to have the Neocatechumenal Way coming to your parish. I dont know where you are from ,but the Neocatechumenal Way has been growing a lot and the numbers of member have been increasing. There are many blogs and rumors that state that the Neocatechumenal Way has many heresies and is against the doctrines of the church and this statement is false. The Vatican has approved all the Neocatechumenal Way has to offer this year. They’re about two million members in the Neocatechumenal Way all over the world and there have been souls saved through this wonderful way of life. Neocatechumenal Way loves the youth because the youth is the next generation of people to come and when you target the youth and save there soul and keep it pure it helps them to grow into strong spiritual adults that can spread the Lord’s wonderful message. The Neocatechumenal Way began back in 1962 during the Second Vatican Council and was founded by a lay member Kiko Arguello who had the Blessed Virgin Mary appear to him and told him to begin the Neocatechumenal Way. If you have anymore questions I would be delighted to answer them.
I don’t think it’s quite true that the Pope has approved everything connected with the Neocatechumenal Way…from what I hear he is still concerned about their liturgy.

So are you saying the youths souls were NOT saved through the Catholic Church and instead through the Neocatechumenal Way?

Why is it so secretive? Why do you have to go to “see and learn”? Why will they not at least tell you some of it up front?

I am always highly suspicious of “sects” that are not up front and open. This one seems to be more dividing of parishes then uniting…

Glad it worked for you…truly but I am still very suspicious…luckily it does not appear to have a big following in our parish and they do not have their own liturgy.

It was the Holy See and its relevant dicasteries that approved pretty much everything (and more) that can be approved. You say the pope is “concerned” about liturgy. That can be understood in many ways. I hope the pope and all Catholics are concerned about the liturgy of the Church. But if you mean that he has reservations about the manner of celebration of the liturgy that takes place in the neocatechumenal communities, it is probably because you haven’t read what he actually said about that. To give you an example, just on January 20, 2012 he addressed the initiators and some members. If you click the link, you can redirect to the zenit article. If you don’t want to read the whole thing, I can tell you that special mention about liturgy takes place at the penultimate paragraph.

I tried once to convince you about the falsity of the claim of secrecy on the part of the NCW, but I failed. Still I believe, that you can know more or just as much about the NCW by reading vatican.va or zenit.org as about any other new reality in the Church. I know that you disagree, but I have to rebut, because your comments appear publicly on the Internet, and people have the right to know both sides of the argument.
Besides, Holy Mother Church gave me life through the NCW, which is Her own, and I won’t let it pass when someone refers to it as a “sect”.

I don’t know how many times I or someone else has referenced this and other articles, but here goes again:
Essentially, the Pontifical Council is only approving these things that are found in the Catechetical Directory of the Neocatechumenal Way, and in no way touches those things contained in the liturgical books.
catholicnewsagency.com/news/vatican-approval-for-neo-catechumenal-way-only-applies-to-non-liturgical-catechesis/

The approval applies to non-liturgical catechesis, that is, those things in the Catechetical Directory.

Whereas the statement is true, this particular approval was for so called “liturgies” that are not Mass, the rest of the article is loaded with blatant lies (which is why the “official” wants to remain unnamed).
So you can quote it all you want, it remains a dubious source of disinformation. You should read the zenit article, or the words of the prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments about the same event (the original is in Spanish, but I have translated it to English here), and you’ll be surprised how different their tone is. No wonder that coward withheld his name…
The fact that on January 20, 2012 the Holy See approved something other than the NCW’s manner of celebrating Mass, does NOT mean that the Holy See has any reservations regarding the NCW’s manner of celebrating Mass. Just like if I say that your English is great, does not mean that I disapprove of how you speak Polish. Get it?

I would be angry and frustrated if my pastor brought in the Neo Catechumenal way. They are already a group that has demonstrated that they think they know better than the church by “improving” on the liturgy. Yes, Rome has officially asked for this to stop, but like the problems with LifeTeen, they never should have been changing the liturgy in the first place.

I would be scared of them coming.

I know from experience…they came into my parish with the goal of uniting. Instead it was dividing. I heard some of the people leading this process say “The Way” was the only way…and if I did not embrace it - it was because I was not ready or advanced enough. Any movement within the Church needs to bring people together not divide them. Division within the parish - was my experience.

I may not be perfect - however I AM on the way…without them.
