Nervous about faith=sin?

“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38, NIV)

Lately some of my friends have been asking me why I’ve been praying so much. I get nervous and my answer is usually “I don’t know” or something along those lines. Because of the above passage, is this a sin?

Not necessarily a sin, but if you think it is then go to confession.

Jesus told us to pray always.

tell them because you are devoted to Jesus, then ask them “why dont you pray so much” or something along those lines
 
I’m just wondering if it is actually a sin to be nervous and deny Prayer like that.

Being nervous is not a sin, unless perhaps there’s some way one is consciously choosing to be nervous with the recognition that being nervous in and of itself damages one’s relationship with God. What we do with being nervous (or any other seemingly involuntary traits that go into making up our psychology, etc.) is more likely the area where sin might come into play.
