I’m currently seeing a counselor, as well as speaking regularly with a priest at my parish. But I know it won’t hurt to ask for prayers.

I’m a 20 year old girl, and if you are familiar with any of my previous posts, you already know my history of struggling with loneliness, friendships, family members, etc.

Well, I’ve reached my limit. A week ago, in the middle of the night, I broke down crying, and woke my parents up because the dark, my mind, the stress…EVERYTHING got to me, and I couldn’t be alone. Since then, I’ve begun shutting down. I am unable to sleep (last week, I slept a total of nine hours in seven days). I have absolutely no appetite whatsoever. Everything frightens me…I have horrible anxiety anytime I have to leave my home and socialize with people. I just want to curl up in a ball and stay in my room all day. I don’t even talk to my parents very much…not because I am angry with them or anything, but because I feel too emotionally drained to do so. I cry every night, and have a constant feeling of loneliness and desperation.

I want to die. I do not feel suicidal, but sometimes I pray to not wake up in the morning. I do not want to live like this anymore. I want to get better, and I am trying. Please pray for me…I feel like I’m losing grip.

:bible1:

He sent forth His Word, and healed them
And delivered them from their distresses.
Let them thank the Lord
For His steadfast Love,
For His wonderful works to the sons of men!
Psalm 107:20-21

:signofcross:
Dear Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
Mother of all creation, our Mother;
please intercede for lovedance4ever, that
your Son our Lord heal her from her
depression, anxiety, insomnia, thoughts of
death and all other illness that is overcoming
her. We beseech thee Mother of mercy to
come to her aide.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that
never was it known that anyone who fled to
your protection, implored your help, or sought
your intercession was left unaided. Inspired
with this confidence I fly unto thee O Virgin
of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before
you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of
the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

:signofcross:

You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you want to PM me I am
more than willing to listen to what has brought you to this state,
and maybe I can lend some advise. I know about this stuff.

Dear lovedance4ever,
It sounds like you,ve got more on your plate than is "fair’’., however the Scriptures say that the LORD will never give us more than we canbear.

I know how painful mental anxieties are and, especially with no sleep, yikes! Try to open yourself to the means of grace; i.e. put on EWTN day or night and let those good people speak into your heart I mean if you can Make your heartavailable; listen to music you love or have loved in easier times and see if that does not calm you down. Really tey to let your parents care for you - they are also going through a hell of having an unwell daughter.
I agree totally with the other folks who suggested you chose a doctor and go. At first it could be your primary care doctor at clinic; later onit ccould be a really well qualified LCSW and/or psychiatrist if medication is helpful. It’s great to have someone Outside your house to talk to about all these unbearable feelings.
So,lovedance4ever, know we andmany others are praying for you - theSaints in Heaven are praying for you- and these episodes tend to smoothe out and I’m telling you by my knowledge ofsuch difficulties. that YOU WILL BE BETTER, it will get easier. Take healing steps and rely on prayerand of course on Jesus Christ. love in Him pishajesuis

Remembering you in my daily prayers. Please consult with a doctor. God bless.

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Amen

Praying to St. Dymphna for your health & recovery. Please gey yourself to your doctor ASAP.

Praying for you.

Dear One,

You need to see a doctor, make sure you eat, and that you get proper rest.

May the Lord and His holy Blessed Mother take you by the hands and lead you to His peace and joy.

As both a retired psych RN and ongoing psych patient, I heartily agree that you need to see a doctor.

Start with your family doctor, and ask for a referral to a psychiatrist who can prescribe appropriate meds for you.

Please get an appointment ASAP. I have been in your situation and had to seek help.

I am praying that you will get the help you need.

It sound as if you have a chemical imbalance. PLEASE see the right doctor. If you are afraid to go out find a help line to call, maybe Some of our members can recommend one. If available please call the Church.
You are loved by us and whatever is causing this there will always be a better day. At some point we have all been through such an ordeal.

You are made in the image of God who is all loving.

First of all, see a doctor about the sleep issue and get that under control. That’s some serious insomnia. They say there’s a relationship between insomnia and depression. Depression causes insomnia, and insomnia causes depression.

There are even over-the-counter sleep aids, but really, you should see a doctor.

Also, mention to your doctor about the depression, as well.

I agree with that. Modern times have many means, and you might be able to prevent a nervous breakdown if you get the help you need in a timely manner.
