New beginnings for Easter

Dear God, I want to ask You for “new beginnings” for all our members this Easter.

I want to ask You to flood Your healing on everything that needs healing in our pasts that still casts shadows on present development and happiness.

I want to ask You to help each of us to draw out our talents and true beauty and goodness.

I want to ask You to help us rise up and become wholesomely and fully, the exquisitely the wonderful, vibrant, unique beautiful persons whom each is created to be.

I want to ask You to help us all be radiant witnesses of Your Son’s teachings of love and goodness to everyone in our lives, in our sorrows, our joys, and our ‘ordinary’ lives.
Please help us to become the persons whom You created us to be.

And yes we have our limitations and our scars and barriers, but please grant that CAF is a source of grace and hope and blessed new beginnings for all who share and who visit here.

“Listen to me, devout children, and blossom
like the rose that grows on the bank of a watercourse.
Give off a sweet smell like incense,
flower like the lily; spread your fragrance abroad,
sing a song of praise
blessing the Lord for all His works.

Declare the greatness of His name,
proclaim His praise
with song and lyre,
and this is how you must sing God’s wonderful praises:
how wonderful they are, all the works of the Lord!
All that He orders is promptly carried out.

You must not say, “What is this? “Why is that?”
All will be studied in due time…

At His bidding, all His pleasure is accomplished,
no one can diminish His power to save.
The actions of every creature are before Him,
there is no hiding from His eyes;
His gaze stretches from eternity to eternity,
and nothing can astonish Him.

You must not say, ‘What is this? Why is that?’

What a beautiful prayer Trishie. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be our refuge and our strength.

Nine Elevations To The Sacred Heart
  1. Heart of Jesus, perfect Adorer of God, teach me to adore the Father with Thee and by Thee.
  2. Heart of Jesus, burning with love of me, inflame me with Thy Divine Love.
  3. Heart of Jesus, only Victim worthy of God, unite me to Thy Divine Sacrifice.
  4. Heart of Jesus, overwhelmed with bitterness for the sins of men, break my heart with sorrow for my sins.
  5. Heart of Jesus, sovereignly humble, annihilate my pride.
  6. Heart of Jesus, perfect model of meekness, inspire my heart with this salutary virtue.
  7. Heart of Jesus, infinitely pure and without stain, give me an inviolable purity of body, mind, and heart.
  8. Heart of Jesus, consumed with zeal for the glory of the Father, enkindle in my heart an ardent zeal for Thy glory and my own sanctification.
  9. Heart of Jesus, reign for ever in my heart, and grant me the grace to reign one day with Thee in Heaven. Amen.

Father, in Jesus’ name, with faith in Your promise that such hunger will be filled I ask that please grant me a boundless, lifelong hunger for the flooding of Your love and salvation to all souls. Grant hunger for trust and for holiness equal to its depth, an ocean vast enough to engulf all humankind. I seek this depth of hunger, for Your glory and for the sake of all Your people, each Your beloved.

Please fill the hunger of spirit, in my loved ones and everyone, with Your love and truth. Give us hunger to live in love that is full of faith, hope, wisdom and prayer. Purify us of unforgiveness and sin. Free us from fear or depression, and give us the joy and peace of children of God, anticipating our union with You and all our heavenly family.

God, we ask grace to hunger for Your will and perspective in this earthly existence. Through our kinship with Jesus, please free us from materialism, even as we live the best we can manage within its opportunities. In His Name and through Your Spirit, please draw numerous souls to true life.
