I just received the new book written by Msgr. Guido Marini, *Liturgical Reflections of a Papal Master of Ceremonies. *

This slim volume is an excellent read and gives us greater insight into the way that the Holy Father celebrates Mass. I will be reviewing it in greater detail in the coming days.

I’m also excited about this. I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

So far so good on the book. However, this is like fine wine, it must be sipped very slowly and inhaled so that you can get the full effect.

Msgr. Guido Marini goes through great pains in the first part of the book to offer catechesis and reflection on what goes on during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. He quotes the Holy Father heavily, citing both pre-papal and papal writings. As soon as I finish, I will post a complete review.

By the way, I neglected to note that Newman House Press publishes this book.
