Incidentally, the author of this book is going to be a speaker at the upcoming Orientale Lumen Conference this year in Washington D.C. The book will be available for sale at the Conference. Also, if you are unable to attend the Conference on location, we are hoping to do a live webcast of the Conference for a fee of $50 per session. Participants in the webcast will be able to submit questions for the panel discussions via e-mail. For more information see olconference.com/. 👍

That being because the topic of the Conference is "“Rome and the Communion of Churches: Bishop, Patriarch or Pope” 👍 I wish I could afford to go! These Orientale Lumen Conferences are great. (I just referred to one of the former plenary sessions in another thread. 🙂 )

(Just to clarify, the website says “For the first time, the OL Conference will be broadcast live through an online video webcast. The Opening Session with all Plenary Lectures and Panel Discussions will be viewable online during the conference for just $50 per person.” The registration indicates the same webcast of opening, closing and all plenaries = $50. That is different than "$50 per session"at six plenary sessions plus opening and closing. This is great 👍, tho if it’s live that may not work either. time schedule wise. Hopefully it will!)

This is a book from an EO author that gives concrete suggestions on how a unified Catholic-Orthodox Church might proceed and act with the Petrine ministry of the Papacy.

I’m definitely going to get it!

Blessings,
Marduk
Looks like a good book to read. It reminds me of Oliver Clement’s book, which also gives concrete suggestions.

The only problem is the price… Maybe I can get a used copy down the road.

Adam is Ukrainian Catholic. He is the primary person responsible for heading up our Eastern Catholic Mission in our area. He and his family have had my family over for dinner several times and we find him very knowledgable 🙂 I plan to read his book as soon as I can.

As I recall, Adam is not Orthodox.

Unless, of course, he has converted recently … which I doubt.
Thanks for the correction!👍 The reviews I read state that he has presented the Orthodox position. To my shame, I guess I failed to realize he could be an Orthodox in communion with Rome.🙂

Blessings,
Marduk
