Japanese cars have uncomfortable seats? 😛 No space for anything else in a minvan? According to the figures I’m looking at, the 2004 Expedition had 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in place while a 2004 Honda Odyssey had 38.1 with all seats up. Plus an optional roof rack…😉 All seats removed, the 04 Odyssey could carry 170 cubic feet verses 110 cubic feet with the rear seat folded flat in the Expedition.

But hey, each has its merits and disadvantages. But I fear for some, their only real big disadvantage to owning a minivan is a perceived loss of cool points.😃

Well we took too long and the Expedition is gone. OH Well. Yes I suppose a minivan could be an option, but to be honest I would rather drive an SUV. I don’t want a minivan. A fully equipped minivan is not any less expesnive than a fully equiped SUV. My oldest DD is almost 4 and is in a booster. She would be able to strap herself in if she could reach the buckle. Also, we listed our Explorer on Craigslist to see if we could at least get what we owe on it. Thanks fo all of your (name removed by moderator)ut it is much appreciated. Something just didn’t feel right about it, but I am hoping we didn’t make a mistake in letting it go.

Eh, another will come along if that’s what you really want. When we were anticipating our first, we got a Honda CR-V. We didn’t think we needed a van b/c we didn’t think we were going to end up with three kids 5 years later!😛 It worked out with two but with three it’s been tight. But I am so glad we didn’t go with my second choice, which was to get a used Mitsu Montero with 50k on it. It was a steal, fully loaded and only a couple years old at $20k. But now, 5.5 years out I can’t imagine what the extra mileage would have produced plus the higher gas price… My wife has got Odyssey on the brain so that’s what we’ll be buying next.
