When the Blessed Mother appeared in Fatima she told the three children to pray for Russia at the end of Mass and say Rosaries for Russia. Do you think this will catch hold for those being opressed in China and other parts of Asia? Will we start to hear prayers for the conversion of China at the end of masses? I already pray my rosaries against the evils of China.

This is interesting. Now that you mention it, I don’t think I would be surprised if new Fatima level Apparitions came about in the next few decades.

Of course, we shouldn’t spend too much time speculating on such a thing.

i don’t excatly mean apperations but a new understanding of Mary’s message. Maybe she was talking about all communist regimes. China is the largest one in the world today.

I don’t see how that can work considering it was Russia specifically.

Speaking as one with 30+ years of being Orthodox, I have trouble with the idea of “Russia spreading her errors throughout the world.”

Communism was cooked up by a German Jew living in England. It did not originate in Russia. In fact, Marx himself once opined that Russia was not advanced enough for Communism.

SacredHeartFan,🙂
Anyone else???
I believe that wonderful spiritual changes are already taking place in Russia. Permit me to submit the following:

"When speaking of the reason for the large pilgrimage of Russians to the 90th anniversary at Fátima on October of 2007, the Archbishop of Moscow Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz shared: “Our private intention is to thank our Mother, the Most Holy Virgin, for the gift of religious liberty. We have also the intention to pray for the gift of the authentic conversion and the rebirth of the Russian society… The pilgrimage of the image of Our Lady of Fátima across the vast territory of Russia and of Kazakhstan in the year of 1996 became in itself ‘the national spiritual exercise’. Our churches were flooded with people, they came to pray before the Pilgrim Mother of God, not only the Catholics but also the Orthodox. Only God knows how many persons went to confession and received communion, and how many conversions were the fruit of the pilgrimage. May God be always praised by what He does through the intercession of Our Lady of Fátima.”

The same Catholic archbishop of Moscow in an recent interview with *Inside The Vatican *shared that in his visits to Fátima, *"Yes, I did speak with Sister Lucia,… Three times. I did ask her about the conversion of Russia, since I felt my mission might be directly connected, despite my own limitations, with this mystery.

“And Sister Lucia said that I should think of conversion as a long process, not as something immediate and dramatic, something that happens overnight or instantaneously. She said I should consider that the essential thing is the salvation of souls, and the conversion of sinners. In this sense, she said, I needed to think of the word ‘Russia’ as in some way standing for the entire world, and the reference to the ‘conversion’ as a reference to the conversion of sinners.”*

**I guess God is keeping His Word and Our Lady is working in Russia! Let’s pray that China is next in the agenda. **🙂

I don’t see how you can say this considering the USSR was one of the biggest superpowers during the last century and its government was responsible for the destruction of the Russian Orthodox Church (and all Christian groups), spreading Atheism, mass murders because human life is expendable without God, etc.

So there should be no trouble with the idea of Russia (USSR) spreading its errors.

Regarding:

I guess that according to historical facts, there is no question that Russia was an instrument of the spread of Communism, but the suffering of the Russian people proves that they were also the first victims of it. I they suffered tremendously.
That’s why Our Lady in Fatima asked us to pray so much for their conversion. We can only guess the amazing role that the conversion of Russia will have in the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

According to the words of the Archbishop of Moscow: **“I needed to think of the word ‘Russia’ as in some way standing for the entire world, and the reference to the ‘conversion’ as a reference to the conversion of sinners.” ** (book mentioned above)

I pray this makes sense.

I just watched an alleged “apparition of Our Lady of the Most Precious Blood” in Ville Platte, LA on youtube. It is not an apparition in the style of Lourdes or Fatima (both of which I enthusiastically believe). It is more like a seance with a man claiming to channel the Blessed Virgin and a lot of gullible old women soaking it up. At the end, he falls over in a faint (nice touch). I think it is a big fake and a scandal.

The “visionary” Mac Smith solicits donations online (channeling is now his full-time occupation) and schedules regular apparitions for interested audiences. This thing stinks to high heaven.

Oh yes. I live in Louisiana myself and went to see what it was all about. It was a big load of poop. I hold true to Fatima. 🙂 My thing is will we start seeing prayers being said at the end of mass for the conversion of China?

Probably not. The Church does not want to alarm the Chinese government with what they might see as threats to proselytize their people. The relationship between the CC and the Chinese govt is extremely precarious and a number of Chinese bishops and priests have been imprisoned and/or killed recently.
