Hello,

I am new here and found this site a few days ago and decided to ask a few questions.

A little about me.

My name is Joe, I am 38 and raised Catholic. I have not been to religious since going to Catholic Grammar school. I do not pray, I do not attend mass and have no desire to at all.

Here is my question and issue .

For the past few years I have been seeing strange things. Having dreams that seem realistic. I have been feeling other peoples pain.

I have walked into situations where I happen to be in the right place to save a childs life.

Last week,I was working on a piece of heavy equipment(construction equip) when a hydraulic house burst and I was 5 inches away. The oil was red hot and hit my face and eyes . I should have been burned real bad and possibly lost my eye site. But, I did not have a mark on me. My co-workers could not believe as I did that nothing happened.

I have been seeing different things.

Whats happening? Has anyone had this experience?

Respectfully,

Joe

Maybe God saved your eyesight as a metaphor that you’re being given another chance to see the truth.

Now pray, get to confession, and attend the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on days of obligation. You never know when this life will come to an end.

Sounds like God is giving you a special tap on the shoulder. Hopefully you’ll respond. You wouldn’t be the first person called to conversion/reversion in a special manner.

I think God is doing a few things in your life. (What follows is simply my interpretation of what you have reported.)

First, regarding seeing strange things and have vivid dreams: God is telling you the world is stranger and bigger than you know, and that you are not sufficient for yourself. There are things you (and we!) cannot explain; there is a supernatural order above the natural order of the universe.

Second, regarding feeling other people’s pain: God is giving you a powerful gift (a lesser degree, perhaps, of a “victim soul”), one that Catholics especially understand. Jesus Christ suffered for us and gave suffering a redemptive quality; he told us that when we help a suffering person, we are helping him. Furthermore, Sts. Peter and Paul wrote about the value of suffering as a member of the Body of Christ, how it builds up the Church and fulfills Christ’s mission for it.

Third, regarding being in the right place to save a life: God is showing you that you are necessary in this world, and you have a purpose to fulfill – God has a will for you, and He greatly desires that you come to know it and live in it.

Fourth, regarding your miraculous passage through an accident: God is letting you know that He is in control… and that He wishes to give you another chance, a chance to repent, to return to Him, to be forgiven of your sins, and to be welcomed back into His fold, the Church. You could have been killed in that accident, or at least been severely maimed, and yet God kept you free from harm for a reason; He let you retain your eyesight that you might have “eyes to see”, and that you would open the eyes of your heart to His abundant graces.

Please, see a priest; speak with him, and share what you have shared with us. Ask the priest to help pray with you and for you. Finally, ask him to hear your confession; make a good, honest, true, and sincere confession, fearlessly admitting your sin and asking God to bestow on you a new heart and a new spirit. The priest will help you, he will tell you how to confess, what to say and do.

May God continue to bless you, and may you answer His call. If today you hear His voice, harden not your heart.

Just a thought you might want to inform family members should you die UNEXPECTEDLY you would like your family members to donate your skin to a burn center.

All burn centers ''constantly search for donors, ''Removing a person’s skin can have a very negative connotation to the deceased’s family, even though it takes only an hour to do and does not desecrate the body. ‘Chance for a Heroic Moment’

‘‘Actually, donating skin is a procedure that gives a person, in death, a chance for a heroic moment. Skin will save somebody’s life. It works like a kidney transplant. Replacing one human organ with another.’’

Only 7 percent of those who die can be skin donors, because people who have had infections or cancer automatically are rejected. ‘‘You can’t put contaminated skin on a burn patient - it would kill him,’’ Dr. May said. ‘‘We screen about 8,000 deaths annually and get only about 80 donors, or 1 percent.’’

❤️ :blessyou:

Thank you for the (name removed by moderator)ut, I have thought about seeing a priest but also at the same time I was thinking that I am losing my mind. I feel as that if and when I would speak of my experiences I will be laughed at .

I have so much to tell and it is kinda scarey to me,

Well, sadly, there are some priests who would dismiss your experiences as “crazy”, but I think a truly pastoral priest would recognize the importance of a compassionate response to your questions.

I have so much to tell and it is kinda scarey to me,
i recently heard the testimony of a woman who had situations similar to but different from yours.
she was also fearful to visit a priest. when she finally did, the priest heard her story, then asked her to come back in a month to tell the story again, and then again. basically all i am saying is that all miracles are scrutinized, so don’t be surprised if that happens to you.
but you should go and see a priest like the others said.
our God is a very forgiving God, and he is calling you to a greater purpose.
please listen to the call and get guidance from a priest.

I am going to see when the local Church holds confession and start from there to see if I feel different. I am torn and feel as if I have a fight going on with myself inside.

For me the worst thing I have going on is feeling others pain. What is going on here ? I have alot to say but I lack trust. Am I being called upon by God? I do not know, but something has been going on, something different, something that is far out there that confuses me.

There is more out there than just what we see, we are not just meat bags walking around.

The best bet is to go see a Priest, that is why they are there, to deal with spiritual things, and it sure is better to see a Priest than some person who deals in the occult as that will just bring you more problems.

Now there are some very good holy Priests and some kinda crummy ones. If you do not have such good results with one Priest maybe look for another.

I know in my hometown out of 3 Priests, only one do I trust with my spiritual health.

God Bless

your work accident miracle, your feeling others pain.
these are most likely two aspects of the same thing.
as for the internal fight. yes it is there, that is why you must see a good priest. you feel something is happening and the devil knows it too and he is pressuring you from the other side.
stay with the truth and the light.
