I received the official offer Hooray. Thank you everyone for all your support.

Now I will need support on being the new girl. Please pass on any tips that may be helpful

Congrats! Smile, be nice and like someone else said, avoid gossips. Nose to the grindstone is always a great approach.
 
Avoid Gossips. Head down. Work hard. Don’t complain.

It is simple.

I have no applicable advice since my industry is so much different (construction) just good luck and congrats! Glad to hear you finally caught a break! God bless.
 
Aside and off subject but this is just an amazing interview question. My wife was in an interview with two other people and they were interviwing a candidate. The man to the right of my wife on the panel said “Which one person in this room do you think you have to convince to have this job?” Wow. That is an awesome question. Regardless of the answer you really can see into a person’s view and way of thinking. If they answer, and give reasons, it can be a very illuminating question.

I will indeed use that question in the future. And I wouldn’t mind answering it either…

(the interview did not go well for the young man. Probably the worst my wife has seen in a while)

Tips: Always a can-do attitude and willingness to learn something new. No gossip. Don’t go personal. Try to exceed everyone’s expectations on doing a better job.

I love it when things work out!

These next two weeks at your old job will be quite calming for you because you have a new exciting job coming up. Please, take some time to celebrate this win. pamper yourself. Feel proud.

Congratulations! I felt so good when I read that you got the job. I haven’t commented on this post because I really have no expertise in this area and didn’t have anything to add. Even so, and though I don’t know you, I feel as if a friend who need a new job, got one. I guess that is how it is on the forums. God bless.
